Fingerprint SAMSUNG SHS-H700 New Version of SAMSUNG SHS-5230 Digital Door Lock keyless touchpad Security EZON

Purchased in December 2013 and installed January 2014. The installation process was more difficult than anticipated because it's a mortise lock and I was using a door with a cylindrical lock drilled in.I used the measurement template that was provided and used a drill with a wide bit, then chiselled out the rest. The chiselling takes the longest of everything due to the pocket needing to be the precise measurements required.Through the installation it was necessary to thoroughly understand how the product fit together on both sides of the door. I had to remove the lock two or three times because I had mistakenly done something wrong, and as such the handle wouldn't turn right, or the deadbolt wouldn't set right, etc etc, but as long as you take the time to get through the process and see how everything fits and functions together, it's worth it in the end.If you don't receive English instructions with the lock, the best bet is to contact the vendor that sold it to you and ask for English instructions. Prior to doing this I spent about a day hunting them down online, going so far as to calling Samsung Canada and Samsung USA, both of which told me they have no idea how to get those documents. My vendor sent me the instructions within three minutes of me sending the email, and I could continue from there.Make no mistake: the pictures of this lock do not do it justice. It is BEAUTIFUL. It looks beautiful in its resting state, and when the fingerprint protector flips up to display the pad, everyone is thoroughly impressed.I'm very glad we purchased this lock and took the time and pains to install it, it's making a huge impression on our staff and customers!

Excellent product. Best lock I have ever purchased. However, most difficult lock I have ever installed. I would recommend this product to anyone. But I will also say that you should buy it with the intention of having it professionally installed if you do not have a basic understanding of home improvement projects.

Great product. No longer do I fumble in my pockets to find a key to my door. So far the product survived a very hot summer with full sun exposure in the afternoon and continued to work without any problems on the same battery for half a year now. I must say the installation was a bit of a hassle. Luckily I got a lot of help from my family with that. They used power tools and drilled additional holes in my door to install this lock. The jingle sounds are a nice safety feature if the door is left ajar to remind you to shut it properly. The door locks behind you whether you are coming or going. It has made my life easier and I would recommend it as long as you have power tools and know how to use them to install this Samsung lock. Update as of April 23 2020: the lock still works after the original installation. The front plate has a small scratch line after all the years of use (almost six years!). The pin code function still works and so does fingerprint scanner. The lock is now half price of what I had paid for it then. I wish it had a Wi-Fi option but it does not, otherwise I'm still happy with it.

Sent me a Korean version even though it states English. Seller offered to fix, but the installer already put it in. Be careful, the 700 model is KOREAN, the 705 is English. All that aside it's an ok lock. The default master password can be a nightmare to reset and this has been gone over on YouTube. Also, changing the handle direction is easy on outside, a nightmare on inside, but can be done. Your experience may vary, as the instructions I had were in KOREAN!

I'll never have to worry about whether or not I remembered to lock my front door again.I'll never have to worry about being locked out again.I'll never have to dig through my pockets to find my house key while juggling groceries again.The price is steep, but for the peace of mind I get, it's worth every penny.It has worked flawlessly. Yes, the install stinks since the instructions are in Korean. But I was able to find a YouTube video that broke it down really well in English, albeit English with a heavy Korean accent.The fingerprint reader is easy to use and looks so sleek. Registering new fingerprints is a breeze. So far I can not think of a single complaint.

We were excited to buy this product....as it seemed like it would make our lives easier. However, don't believe that you can just install this lock if you're just an average joe. It took a professional locksmith team of 2 to install this thing...and it took them at least 2-3 hours. Once the physical lock was installed, we were stumped b/c the directions are in Korean!!We would return this product, but it would have cost us another couple hundred $$ to remove the lock! So, unless you can read Korean, or know a friend that does, DO NOT buy this lock!
