Great brush for a great price
This is an awesome brush for the price. I see comparable brushes that run for fifty dollars and over. I've only lost a few bristles on it. The stand is fine for what its meant to be used for-to mount on the wall. It lathers up great and feels good on the face. Some have complained its coarse. That is not such a bad thing. A course brush helps exfoliates the face and loosens up that dead skin. The brush retains water really well. Its solid and has a nice heft weight to it. The chrome base can unscrew but you could always crazy glue on permanently if it really bothers you. Its really not that coarse and you can soften it by using softening conditioner. Its beats out a boars head brush by a mile. Now about the smell. Some have complained about the smell of the shaving brush. Most new shaving brushes smell nasty. This is animal hair. Badger hair to be precise. Badgers and other critters in the wild don't take bathes with and shampoo themselves. Duh. The smell will eventually go away and their are several methods to lessen and get rid of the smell. Check out Mantic59 an others on youtube have several videos on how to get the smell out of the brush or lessen it. I used Pantine shampoo in combination with some of the Col Conks almond shaving soap to knock the smell out. The smell eventually went away completely within 3-4 weeks if even that. I wasn't really paying attention. Please do everyone a solid and stop knocking down the reviews because of the smell of the shaving brush. They are not going to smell like roses out of the box. Deal with it, man up and quit complaining about the smell. All shaving brushes with animal hair are going to smell out of the box.Great brush. I'm loving it. Good price if your looking for a good shaving brush, don't mind some minor coarseness or some out of the box animal hair smell.

Very nice quality
Beautiful quality brush. Thick, soft, and no shedding. Quality is better than other brushes my husband has had. Creates a nice lather of shave soap bar.

Great Product
After doing some research and reading reviews I decided to pick up The Parker Safety Brush. I chose this product because the price was reasonable and the reviews were good. Before I proceed I must preface this review by telling you that this is my first Badger Brush. Thus far I have been very impressed with the performance of the brush. I love the look and the feel of the brush. It adds a nice flair to my bathroom counter top. I enjoy the weight of the handle. This handle is not a cheap plastic handle like some others out there. When I pulled this out of the box the weight and the quality of badger hair gave me the security that I did not buy a crappy product.Since the purchase I have only lost 2 hairs. Both were on the first day of use. Possibly they were loose from shipping or production. It has been about a month and I have not lost another hair.It does retain a good amount of water and soap. You will be impressed by the lather this produces. For the Price.... You cant beat it...If your looking for the same quality with a different style... Look up Parker Safety Razor in Amazon and you will find some. For a first time buyer or someone who is looking for a nice upgrade... This is a great choice.Happy Shaving Fellas.

Great shave brush. *Update ok shave brush*
I love this shave brush. I'm new to the whole wet shaving thing, and I wanted to invest in a good brush that would last a while. I feel like this is a perfect brush for all wet shavers beginners included. Also I do shave with a safety/DE razor (I use an electric when I travel which is often) but if you're not sure you want to go that far this is still a great brush to supplement your trusty cartridge razor. So if you're getting into wet shaving and DE shaving don't worry about spending the extra money on a nice brush. You can always use it even if you don't like the safety razor. I use Geo F. Trumper shave cream with this (lime scented to be specific) and it does a great job. Definitely worth the money. It only shed one or two hairs too which is good. After using this brush for quite a few months I did enjoy it and it's still in excellent shape. However, there are much better brushes out there for the money. I enjoyed this brush because it was the only brush I had, but after trying four different brushes since writing this review, my opinion has changed. This brush is a bit of a scratchy brush, and it seems to not want to give up as much lather. It's also not as dense as some better quality badger brushes out there. All and all its a good looking brush, and a decent preforming brush if you like scratchier brushes. If you want an incredible badger, stirling soap co finest badger brush is an amazing value. If you don't mind a synthetic brush, the maggard synthetic brush is way better than this brush, and it's only $10.

The beautiful soft brush with no shedding
I have been using this brush for last one month. I waited one month to see if the brush is still feels and works as new. And yes it does! It's an amazing brush.First, it's big. And everybody agrees to that in their reviews. It's big and beautiful. Looks gorgeous on my counter.Second it's heavy. Your hand will feel tired if you keep lathering your face for a long time. So beware of that. Going from the little Escali to this was a big difference. The brush has not shed a single hair! Isn't that amazing. I have used 5 brushes until now and this is the first one that has not shed a single hair. The tips are very soft. You don't need to buy the silver tip version. This is extremely soft. You don't need to soak the brush for long time. What I do is just swirl the brush in warm water for 20 seconds and half-squeeze it. Then I go on to lather my face. It feels perfect in the face and creates very good lather that can last for couple of passes.May be I won't buy another brush ever again. That will be sad:)
