I have struggled for a week to keep a dressing on it using the standard elastic self adhesive wrap. I ordered several different products in an effort to secure the dressing. While very similar to the 3M Medipore tape( also a good product) it actually holds superior to it. It has a little more body to it and a superior adhesive. I’ve not taken it off yet so can’t attest to ease of removal. I’m just really excited that instead of a big bulky,tight dressing up to her hip, she now is able to have a simple lightweight one. The brace had a tendency to require readjustment during walks of more than 1/2 miles. I read somewhere (probably Amazon) that using this kind of tape under the brace helped keeping in place. It does the job. While the brace still occasionally needs adjustment it happens a lot less frequently with the tape. With most of the local fields converting to artificial turf, his arms and knees have been getting trashed with abrasive field burns. He also has had some injuries like a calf pull and shoulder strain that he has taped by the trainer using "KT Tape" for games and wanted to tape himself for practices. In any case, I searched out "KT Tape" and this brand/tape populated on Amazon. With the solid reviews and the fact that it was it was available via Prime in one day in my market I purchased it. My son tells me this is "way better" than the brand his friends use and also what the trainer uses. He says their tape (sorry do not know the brand but know it is purchased at local drug stores) is not near as sticky and comes off very easily with sweat or other moisture. He says his tape stays does not come off and in fact stays on so well that other players are always asking if they can use it instead of their tape or the trainer's tape. I wish I would have known about this earlier before the season so he would not have had to deal with some of the nasty turf burns he has - once you get those your are doomed as they will continue to rip apart the next time you fall on the same injury.
