It didn't work right out of the box. The Chinese Clock movement was very low-quality. As was the clock itself. What looks like a nice wood frame end up being very thin faux finish wood plastic. Very light weight probably worth about $20 in total not worth the $189 I paid. Worst purchase I have ever made buyer beware. When contacting the seller they offered to replace the cheap Chinese movement so that I would have to fix the clock without any discount whatsoever. To me it's like buying a new car with a non-functioning engine and the auto sales or dealer telling you to replace it with no discount.

Sure didn't like this, it has cheap look with plasticity components. The picture must be enhanced, cause it looked like it was made on craft day at the local grade school after they ran out of macaroni. I could not get it to run, so it was definitely quiet. I haven't had to return many things to Amazon but when I did the return postage was paid. This "clock" return is postage required.

I was not going to write a review for this clock (30 inch Framed model) as I'm basically lazy, but I'm currently struggling with horrible customer service from a different vendor with a different product. I realized I find it very easy to find the time and energy to write a bad or critical review, but usually have little motivation to write a good review. Well, my great experience with The Big Clock Store deserves a review.I received the clock very quickly and was very pleased with the look. It is a large clock, going up high on the wall, so I really don't care if the frame is plastic or not, as no one would be able to tell from a distance. To me, the important part is the image on the clock face, which is really what you're paying for. I loved the image and its quality. The numbers are very large and easy to read from a long distance.Unfortunately, being the goof that I am, while following the directions to set the clock, I accidentally spun the hour hand. The directions tell you to spin the minute hand several revolutions to get the clock going, but not to spin the hour hand manually...ever. Well, right out of the box I spun the hour hand when my finger slipped off the minute hand. After this mishap, the clock would not keep proper time, with the hour hand not wanting to move. Maybe this was my fault, maybe it is a cheap mechanism, maybe a little of both. Probably me.I contacted The Big Clock Store via email and told them of my problem. I had an email response back from them within about 24 hours stating they would send me not one, but two new mechanisms, along with two new sets of hands and nuts. The new parts arrived in two days. Swapping out the old mechanism/hands for the new was very easy and took just a minute or two. This time I was more careful when starting up the clock and setting the time, and it has been up over my bay window for 3 months keeping excellent, silent time.As stated in the description of the clock, the mechanism does have a lifetime warranty through The Big Clock Store (not through Amazon), and I attest they stand by it in a very responsive, friendly and hassle-free manner. Thank you Big Clock Store for great customer service and a beautiful clock.

This clock isn't terribly high quality. The hands swing loose, which they apparently anticipate because they tell you to anchor them to the post if that happens. I did that, but they popped loose again. Also, the big hand and and the little hand collide unless you bend them apart, which looks weird and also it's a strange thing to have to do to a clock to make it work. So, we're returning it. The kicker is that they make YOU pay for the return shipping cost...

Purchase this "new" clock but ended up with a refurbished broken clock. Packaging received in good condition. Opened box and put AA battery in mechanism, however the clock hands did not move. Purchased new batteries thinking perhaps my batteries might be bad; same result. I noticed the back of the clock looked like it had been repaired. The wood mounting bracket appeared to have been replaced and there were two long scratches that had been painted over. Really deceptive to sell a new clock only for it to be someone else's returned item.

Updated review - I reached out to the distributor about my broken clock and they quickly mailed me a new clock mechanism to swap out for the broken one in the clock I received, free of charge. After switching mechanisms, the clock now works perfectly. I'm very grateful for the quick and efficient customer service, so I'm revising my star rating to reflect that. The only reason I'm not increasing the rating to 5 stars is the overall quality of the clock itself is still subpar to what one would expect to receive paying over $100 for a wall clock. The clock face is a screen printed particleboard, and the clock hands are both very thin and easily bendable metal. If this product was of higher quality, I'd have given it 5 stars.Original review - I’m the owner of two grandfather clocks so I know how to handle an expensive clock properly. That said, I’ve given this clock ample “time” before I decided to post a review. In summary, the clock does not work at all. We reviewed all of the instructions thoroughly, and tried every remedy the company suggested to address the issue of the clock stopping or not working. Even replaced batteries 3 times. Nothing worked.Additionally, the clock materials are very cheaply made, almost like a type of plasticy thin particleboard material, and the internal timepiece mechanism doesn’t work. Definitely not worth the money spent. Very disappointing.

Ok so this clock is like 1/2” thick piece of wood. No junk plastic I love that they are made to order in America that was a big factor in why I ordered it . To my surprise there is a sticker on the back that says it has a life time warranty. The face of the clock is so beautiful. I love that it looks rustic. I’m totally going to order another one for my cabin. The hardest part is choosing which one they have so many I like . Also it seems like it keeping perfect time and it’s dead quite no annoying ticking sounds.

Love this clock. Easy to hang, looks great, and easy to clean!
