If you are trying to get pregnant, you must have this book!
I LOVE this book! Sheila Lamb has pulled together one of the most comprehensive guides to the fertility universe that I have ever seen. It's a world that we never expect to be part of, one that is very emotional, and on top of that has a steep learning curve. In creating such a comprehensive "fertility encyclopedia" Sheila helps the reader bridge that learning curve and gain the knowledge they need for their trying to conceive journey. Virtually every question about any aspect of female and male reproductive anatomy, hormones, the reproductive process, menstrual cycles, fertility treatments, holistic modalities and emotions associated with the conception process are answered and explained. The answers are easy to find and understand thanks to the impeccable way in which Sheila has organized the book. On top of all of this, her writing is caring and human, and she shares from her own personal experience to relate to her readers. I love the illustrations! As a fertility coach working with women all over the world, I will enthusiastically recommend Sheila's book, as it's a must-have for anyone's shelf who is on the fertility journey or who works with people who are.

Skip google, grab this book
This book is an excellent resource for anyone entering the realm of fertility challenges. The problem with googling symptoms, treatments, and all things infertility is the tendency to tap into a world of negativity and confusion. There's much to know, but it's not helpful to get inundated by negative biases and every possible thing that could go wrong. There are 3 things I like most about this book: 1) It's thorough and well-organized. Whatever you need to know, you're going to find it here, and it's all alphabetized. 2) There's a personal touch here. It's also easy to understand and accessible for anyone. You don't need a medical degree to read it, and you can avoid getting sucked into the sometimes treacherous world of online blogs and chat forums. 3) Simple and helpful illustrations where appropriate, and explanations for abbreviations, procedures, and more. Sheila has clearly been there before and has a gift for simply and accurately conveying needed information for anyone dealing with infertility.

Highly informative and written in down to earth, human terms. A must-read!
What a fabulous fertility book by the wonderful Sheila Lamb! A highly informative and well-written A-Z of everything you could wish to know about this whole gruelling infertility process. My first thought whilst reading it was how helpful this would be if you were facing an infertility diagnosis and feeling confused about which tests and investigations you should be asking for - so valuable when, as Sheila points out, infertility involves two human bodies, not just one, and every doctor you consult will give you different advice and possibly rubbish the medical advice you’ve been given previously - making it one of the most infuriating illnesses to tackle. This book empowers you with knowledge and puts you in the driving seat. I also love the tone of this book - medical information but delivered in a very human, sensitive voice, with Sheila fully acknowledging the emotional impact of the subjects explored and even sharing her personal experiences where relevant.Thank you Sheila for putting this incredible book together - I only wish it had been in print when I was feeling lost in the infertility maze.
