Modern wall plugs for electronics are a hassle, they never fit neatly onto your surge protectors and uninterruptable power supplies. This is quite frankly a normal thing, and one I grew accustomed to. Wasted power outlets was something I'd just learned to live with. However, when I moved into my own place, I realized I wanted to game and get stuff done at the same time... and to do that I needed to have both of my monitors, my steam deck's dock, my desktop gaming PC, my router, AND my modem plugged in seperately to my Uninterruptable Power Supply at the same time to avoid possible loss of work and game progress at the same time. So, I did some research into solutions. Grounded extension cords are hard to find, and long ones are prone to tripping people, getting damaged when stepped or tripped on, and eventual malfunctions from said damage. I needed a set of one footers that fit neatly behind my PC and were only useful for the sole purpose of maximizing the usefulness of every outlet on my UPS. These fit the bill very nicely, Now my modem and router, PC, monitors, and steam deck's dock can remain powered even when there is an outage, which works very well considering my ISP seems to use some kind of backup power solution themselves. If the power goes out, I can notify my teammates OR save my single player session, quit the game, save my documents, and not have to worry about lost data, progress, or punishment from overzealous anti-bad-sportsmanship scripts and tools in multiplayer games (or in the case of survival games or elite dangerous, loss of valuable stuff due to not getting to shelter before disconnecting).

Not much to get excited about with an extension cord. But there are still some poor ones out there, as well as some that are just too damn expensive. What I needed was one that looks exactly like this that would fit my leaf blower...The plug on the blower is shielded and I cannot use one of those extension cords with multiple outlets at the end. And I also needed around 15 feet to do my deck with it which is what I use my blower for most of the time. This cord was the perfect size, fit, and above all, price. For a 15 footer its a real bargain for the price. And there is nothing cheap about this cord at all. I understand from some of the other reviews that the amp rating on this is lower than some would want or need. But since I am only using this for a few minutes at a time that is of no concern for me. If you need a cord like this for something that will be plugged in all the time and draws a lot of juice, by all means make sure its safe enough for you. As for my need, its perfect, solid, and the price on it can't be beat...Highly recommended...

(Not much. :) ) Good: Does what it's supposed to do; relaying power from a surge suppressor to my new TV which came with a too-short power cord. Comes in a variety of lengths. Reasonably priced. Bad: Some other reviews here have noted that this is a relatively light-duty cord, a fact which isn't made explicit in the product description or the tag on the cord. They have a point. Despite what the product description says, 18 gauge wire is *NOT* "heavy duty;" it is in fact little better than lamp cord. The manufacturer should make its capacity clear, especially considering that you can get this cord in lengths up to 25 feet. This isn't an issue in my application, as it's a three-foot cord carrying all of about 30 watts. The 25-foot version, on the other hand, would be very light-duty; I wouldn't want to power much more than a work light with it. Bottom line: Does the job within its limitations, but those limitations are substantial and should be made clear by the manufacturer. Five stars, minus one for the incomplete product description.

Wanted this so I can fit larger plugs on a power strip. This works perfect and is a decent price. Very good quality and thickness.

I have about 20 of these in my home, all of them serving to connect AC outlets to a variety of chargers, power supplies, and so on. They are really handy and allow you to get those large power supplies (like for printers/scanners) off to the side, and out of the way from your power strips/surge protectors. This frees up more outlets on your power strip for other cords. I used one on my patio---the short (1 foot) extension cord allowed me connect a heavy timer and fasten it to the wall, away from the AC outlet. A ham radio operator told me once that if you place all those heavy power supplies (that are off to the side of the power strip) on an old aluminum cookie sheet--- e.g., about 9x12", it will act as a "heat sink," thereby dissipating the heat. This is especially wise when those bulky adapters/power supplies are on CARPET---they DO get pretty warm. In theory, they should last longer---heat is an electrical device's worst enemy. So maybe that tip will come in handy for you. As always, be sure to observe common-sense safety rules when using anything electrical like these short extension cords.

Reading a few of the reviews there seems to be some confusion about what "outlet savers" are for (a "Top Reviewer" was confused why it didn't somehow eliminate the need for an outlet all together), the low raters being mostly upset they couldn't hook up high amperage devices to them. My understanding is this: a lot of low amperage (low current) devices nowadays have a DC converter built into their A/C plug making the plug very large (think USB chargers, modems, other networking device, hubs for smart home devices, etc) which when plugged into power strips causes adjacent plugs in a power strip to be encroached upon and thus unusable. Enter the "outlet saver" - this short cable with a normal size male plug allows you to extend your low amperage devices' plugs out away from the power strip so all plugs are available. Makes for a kind of messy look with the plugs hanging out away from the power strip on these outlet saver cords, but serves the purpose, saving the adjacent outlets for use. And this one does that very well.

We needed a short extension cord to enable us to connect some of our appliances to the nearest wall outlet. We like that in this cord the wiring was heavy so it could take as much current as required and when connected to the appliance it was a connection that would hold and not fall apart.

Why buy these short extensions? They are perfect when you need to access a plug in a cramped location without having to really stretch. For example, I have a power bar in a tight spot where the power bar isn't much narrower than the cramped area.
