Affordable Magnetic Screen Door
I purchased this product after reading the reviews of the length and width not being correct, but I thought I'd try it anyways. The other reviews were right. Opening the box, I found inside the 2 mesh screens, a small package of velcro, and a small box of black pushpins. Reading other people's reviews, I didn't bother with either of those since the main complaint was that the screen wouldn't hold up. Instead I used a staple gun to put up the screen. Both mesh pieces were the same size, however, after lining up the magnets, I found that the screen as a whole was a quarter inch offline. Flipping the screen around didn't help, so I just put it up as is. As I put up the screen, I had to fold some of the ends so that there would not be too much slack. I also did this hoping that the extra material being attached to the door frame will make it a little more sturdy. This was done on the sides as well as at the top. After doing so, the length of the screen was still a little long, as you can see in the pictures I attached. There's a little drag, but when you walk out of the house, the screen closes no problem. It is when you walk in that the extra material drags in and doesn't close all the way. So far it has been up for a little over a week and for the money I paid, it's not a bad purchase. Aside from the differences in dimensions, the screen closes as I expected and will hopefully continue to keep the bugs out.Just as an FYI, the holes in the screen are tiny, but very small bugs such as fruit flies and maybe even small mosquitoes can work their way through.

Why spend the money on a real screen door?
It served its purpose for the summer I needed something so I could keep the front door open while the kids were out front but also keep the flying bus out. We have high traffic in and out the front door so eventually the sticky tape on the velcro ran out (almost 2 months). But honestly for $7 or $8 worth every little penny. Re-glued the velcro back onto the edges and worked like a charm. I wasn't going to use the pushpins just because i didn't know if I really wanted to make those little push pin marks on my door frame. But this week I finally used them. From adults to little people to the dogs go in and out and probably 95% of the time the magnets line up on their own. As one other customer noted the screen is a little wider than a standard door-but better to be too big than not big enough- I folded in the edges maybe 2 or 3 times on either side and then put the velcro tape on and it is just fine. I could have sewn it to give it a cleaner look but really not that big of a deal. And now with the pushpins a pretty tight look. I will keep it for as long as it holds up!

Not bad
Be sure to have your own way of keeping this screen attached to the door frame. The "velcro" that came with it was very cheap 2-sided tape. and some tacks. the tacks worked, there just weren't enough of them. Be aware that the screen itself is "looser" than a real screen door, with the holes allowing some bugs in... but if it didn't have them this way, a mild breeze would blow it open.Beware of using this with a metal door. a stronger breeze will blow the screen open and the magnets will stick to the door rather than themselves, holding the screen wide open for crickets and cats.Still... I've tried other cheap alternatives that we apartment dwellers are allowed to have by our landlords. This is the best one yet. I'm not even going to keep looking. this works. I added magnets to the bottom to keep bugs from crawling in underneath, and bought more tacks to attach it to the door frame better (again, to keep creepy-crawlers away).

So far so good.
So I got this about a week ago and so far I like it. It has not ripped. After reading all the reviews I did not even bother with the velco it came with. I used thumb tacks and it is holdinng up very well. I put it on the inside of the door frame because where I live is very windy and above the frame is a ledge with sharp corners and that would rip the mesh. I also had some super strong magnets that I just happen to have at home so I used them to help keep the mangets closed because they are not the strongest mangets in the world. But For what i paid for it, I am very happy with it. It keeps the bugs out and the fresh air flowing in and out of my home.

For the price, it's danm worth every penny.
I don't know what these winners are complaining about! They paid $6 for a mesh magnet screen door. What were they expecting?! Heck I paid $6 for two of them. I putted one up at mom's and I knew I would be traveling overseas and I would most likely need one. As you can see in the Pic. It works just great on my great vacation Pic. It's been up for over a week of constant use daily. The magnets works fine. The door frame is metal unfortunately I couldn't use the thumb nails that came with which I used at mom's. I added a Lil crazy glue to the back of the double sided glue thingy that it came. It works just fine, just don't add too much crazy glue because it eat up the glue it came with. But anyways for the price it's worth it.

now I can have a screen door and a doggie door
This screen is so far superior to any of the other 3 brands I've purchased from Amazon that I was amazed at the quality. I selected blue and it is very bright, but a pleasant change from the dreary black ones. The magnets are extremely strong, leaving no gaps. I sew a channnel in the tops of the panels and hang the curtain from a spring tension curtain rod; that way I can slide each side back if I want to leave it open when making many trips in and out. Once the top is secure, I apply the velcro strips to the screen door with the side of velcro which will attach to the door frame "velcroed" to them. Leaving them attached to the screen, carefully expose the sticky side and apply to the door frame while attached to the screen. Go from side to side as you work your way down the door. The velcro on the screen will always match up perfectly with that on the door frame!
