Bandai Hobby PG LED Unit for RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Model Kit (1/60 Scale)

These LED's I am sure most people have a ton of trouble installing. They honestly take tons of patience and make the build even more of a challenge. With that said, no PG Unicorn is complete without these LED's! They are incredibly bright and give the Unicorn an even more realistic look. Even when not in destroy mode, they shine like the stars in the dark sky. I honestly prefer it in Unicorn mode and I am sure you can find tons of pics with it in that mode. Now, the LED's are a tad expensive but they really are worth the trouble of having to mod and make your own LED's. This kit is very well organized and the directions in the actual manual for the PG Unicorn have separate directions for the installation of the LED's. It is a bit tricky at first and it is hard to get the Unicorn on the stand to be plugged into the base. Not to mention the fact that being on the base does reduce possibility since the cord that goes into the back is a bit short. With all this said, you get 2 modes, one with just the eyes on and the other one is the full body in the destroy mode scheme. Sadly, you cannot change the color of the LED's but it does have the classic destroy mode color scheme. They do shut off on their own too if you just leave it or it will reverse the process and turn off destroy and then the eyes as well on the third click of the button (located at the bottom of the base). I truly love the LED's and I got a PG Banshee on standby with another LED kit as well. If you really want a completed Unicorn, you have to buy this kit. It will stand at the center of your collection with the utmost elegance and glory. All you need is a couple batteries screwed into the bottom and some patience. You will get it, I honestly couldn't figure out the shoulders but I like the wires poking as it add realism hehe.My honest truth is this is a must have. Get it while you can and don't hesitate! You will not regret the hard work you slaved on as the final result is truly worth the trouble. Plus you can test out and see the LED's while you work by simply plugging it into the base as your working. One final note, remember to open the cock pit when the light are on, it is GORGEOUS!

The kit is fantastic and easy to install. The reviews are mixed. But take your time. The reward is worth it !

I'm giving this kit a tentative 3-star review, in part because I want to warn other buyers. Please make sure to check over all of the LED components prior to starting your gundam build! My husband started building his gundam and incorporating the appropriate LED pieces and got 10 hours into building the model when he came across a broken LED piece where a wire was not attached properly to a diode. At this point, his build has stalled out and we're waiting to see if the seller will help us figure out an exchange without him having to undo 10 hours worth of model building. I would go over all the components first and gently tug on all the wire connections to make sure they are all firmly attached. They should not easily come out, so tugging on them shouldn't cause a problem. If tugging on a wire pulls it out, then it was probably faulty anyway, because if your model is going to have moving parts, then you need a little play in the wires and for the attachments to the diodes to be secure.I'm sure this LED kit is going to make the model look awesome when he gets to complete the build, but I wanted to get a review up here to warn others. I'll update this review once we have resolved the issue.UPDATE: We contacted Bluefin and were able to get a replacement piece. The gundam was completed and looks awesome. I'm updating from 3 to 5 stars because really this is a great gundam and despite the setback and waiting for the new LED, Bluefin was great with getting us a replacement and not making it a hassle.

This is quite expensive, but the final result is impressive.The installation is not easy, nor complicated. It's easier if you install them while you build the Unicorn. The light effects are something that you can watch all day long.Also, all of the cables are hidden in many clever ways!Recommended 100%

Great looking addon that is a must have for UC fans like myself. The shoulders will be a pain but its all worth it. A bit pricey for a set of leds but hey, you get what you pay forKit used on: PG RX-02 Unicorn Banshee Norn Final Battle Ver (green psychoframe instead of yellow)

Wires are tricky at the joints, but this rewards patience with an amazing end result

Overall, I would say some of the wires need to be longer, such as the one connecting to the backpack, and the one that connects to the power source. It needs to be a little bit longer for when you have to disconnect the gundam to apply decals, transform it, transport it, etc. Be very, very careful with the LEDs. They can break. While transforming the kit, I went to pull out the backpack, and accidentally broke the LED in the backpack. Thankfully I was able to super glue the plug back onto the circuit. Watch some youtube videos. This helped me see where and how to install the LEDs. You will also have to be careful in how you turn the LEDs. Just know that the circuit side will usually face down, and the grey top with the light will face out so that it can shine through the psycho-frame. Slowly install, and you can test it as you go. Once it's all done, it really makes the PG Unicorn Gundam look amazing!

I needed this for my model, wish it was included cause the price tag was a little absurd for the model and this seperate.

The Led kit for the Unicorn is exactly what it's advertised as, you buy it because it's that it lets you light up your Perfect Grade Unicorn.. The only comment I have on it is that it is a little pricey given what it is and the fact you could if you wanted to produce the same kit for about 1/2 - 1/4th the price.... that being said your paying more for the fact that it's designed specifically for the unit to the point the Perfect Grades manual has speciality panels in Red for if you have this kit on how and when to install it.It works, it looks awesome that's all that really matters in the end and I got great communication from the seller.

配線の組み込みがとんでもなくめんどくさい上に硬くて組み込みにくかったり、緩すぎてポロポロ取れたり作ってる最中はとてもイライラした。が、完成したものを光らせて見ると、そんなことがどうでもよくなるほど美しい。暗所だけでなく普通電気の付いてる部屋内でもキレイで目立つ。PGユニコーンシリーズを組むなら是非とも着けたい一品であることは間違いない。

Recieved the led set few weeks before set date, good quality and service from the vendor. Would recommend this for ppl planning to install with the PG unicorn.
