Verbal Judo
After reading this book I usderstand that most of the problems in the work can be resolved using these methods. However, I now see how problems still exist in the work place because this information is ignored. I try to apply them to all situatuions in my life, which allows me to slow down and THINK IT THRU.

I developed an entire class of this book.
In 2004-05 I did a graduate school internship in a county juvenile justice center. I watched as men with arms the size of my leg worked with very unmotivated youth. Never did I hear a raised voice or see unwarrented physical contact. What was their secret, Verbal Judo. I must for parenting and criminal justice practitioners.

Good
Works in my job and in my marriage. Once you start applying the tenets of this book you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much less stress you have and how much easier it is to manage people and get through the day. Makes things a lot easier to deal with, both subordinates and upper management along with the three types of people mentioned in the book.

Verbal Judo Book 4
I've been interested in Doc's work since finding him in 2008. This is BOOK #4 in a series of Verbal Judo offerings. Sadly, Doc passed in 2011, but his legacy lives on through his output and teaching. You don't have to be LEO to benefit from Doc's words - this stuff works in everyday life!

The Verbal Judo way of leadership
The series was great and contains a interesting view of communication. After reading verbal Judo, I bought this book to help me put together a training course for my team based on these principles. I am still working on the course, but I am looking forward to the impact on the team.
