Callahan Brake Parts CCK04786 [2] FRONT Premium Semi-Loaded Original Brake Calipers + Clips [fit Ford Mustang SHELBY Base GT S197]

I was a little skeptical about these only because they were so much cheaper than any of the other rebuit calipers I've seen. I figured I would take a chance. I used these to upgrade from the base two piston calipers on my 2012 mustang GT, both for performance and looks. Ever since I upgraded wheels the stock calipers just looked boring.I was very pleased when they arrived and the castings showed the original Ford part #s.I prepped and painted these and upgraded to stainless braided brake lines along with new 14" rotors and pads.Everything went together easy, and no drama with the brake bedding and first couple hundred miles. Stopping power is greatly increased and they look a ton better.

Was looking to upgrade the brakes on my 2011 Mustang, and after a ton of research I decided to give these a shot. Along with a set of larger rotors (also Callahan) and some Hawk pads, my car now stops the way I always thought it should.

I did a great job painting them idk if it’s the paint or a leak but over time it got the best of the paint and it slowly has been deteriorating the paint gonna have to eventually repaint

I spent hours sanding, priming and painting these to make them look good. When I was installing them, it was late, I was tired, and didn't do once over of the hardware before putting them on the car, I should have. Long story short, the passenger side leaked, and completely ruined the paint. For the cost of the calipers, the primer, the paint and the clear coat, I only saved about $50 vs getting the PowerStop powder coated set off of Rock Auto. I decided to order those and not use these. This set also did not have a Ford part number on them, so who knows what quality hardware these used when they were rebuilt. Long story short, you get what you pay for, and if you plan on painting them red, just buy the PowerStop kit and save yourself hours of work.The attached photo is showing where it leaked fluid from. This was after I tried sanding it down and repainting it, but decided it's not worth the hassle.

I’ve had these calibers installed on my car for about two weeks now. So far so good. I had to sand the face of the caliber for a smooth finish but overall great upgrade from stock caliber.

Great price and great quality. Big upgrade over stock. They came bare metal ready for paint. I was skeptical about price because they were about half the price of the other rebuilt calipers. But I took the chance after reading reviews and figured worse case scenario I'd receive one caliper and have to order another. But both arrived and work well.
