sometimes insightful, sometimes too much too fast
I truly wish 3.5 was an option for my review summary because that's honestly where I place this book. It was recommended to me by my doctor, which hopefully says something that some medical professionals are vouching for it. I like how it simplified thinking about what we eat as living food or dead food. However, it is information dense which can make it a bit much to read and process. I honestly stopped reading it before I finished it, feeling like I need to make a chart to better grasp what is being said. I truly plan to pick it back up at some point and do just that. There were also sections where I felt like I was reading "blah, blah, blah;" other sections were very interesting and engaging. Like previously stated, some sections were just dense. I believe that most everyone can get something from this book.

I was looking for short, precise information for my son about how to improve his dietary intake of oils and fats,- his latest lipid ratio was not ideal. This book looks into a lot more than lipids. I like how the topics are addressed and kept separate: you don't spend a lot of time understanding various key points; they are kept in bold print and in a few words the details are there too, - if you are looking for them. This book is small and fits into most handbags or pockets.The comments about the christian faith are not necessary and really don't belong, as the content and purpose of this booklet pertain to anybody, even the nonbeliever.Barbara

Excellent advice
The book was excellent in giving information on how to make choices to eat healthy and exercise daily. I have hired a trainer and am learning to deprogram myself from the years of distruction to my body. Eating fresh vegetables and lean meats and staying away from processed foods is challenging but rewarding. I am consentraiting on lean protein and watching my sodium. I am journaling everything, reading all food labels. I am eating and weighing myself daily. I can see with tracking the foods I eat and daily exercise to my targeted heart beat how I have let my body go, I am choosing a new lifestyle and I can already see results. It is amazing after reading food labels how aware you are of what you have put into your body. It is a good wake up call.

This is an excellent read for anyone who desires a simple, understandable, nonsense approach to healthy eating and living.I was able to combat cancer naturally by exercising the sameprinciples talked about in this book. I eat to live and notlive to eat like so many of our fellow Americans, who arejust existing and not living.It was also nice to see a book written by a medical doctor,who was trained to prescribe drugs to combat disease anddisorder, should as high blood pressure. Every Americanshould read this book. I am 64 years old and have neverbeen on any form of chemical intervention or had surgery.Call it luck of the draw; I call it exercising common senseliving.

A must have book!!
I bought this book because I was interested in trying to eat healthy. There are so many books out there its hard to know what is actualy true. I read a few of the sample pages of the book and it seemed this was just what I was looking for. It is easy to read, more like a guide than an actual book. It covers so many topics like fast food, artificial sweetners, types of lunch meats, fillers, etc. You can flip around and not feel lost. This is a must have book for anyone who is conscious of what they put in their mouth!

Fantastic book with a great layout
This is the first book i purchased about eating healthy. I found it in a bookstore and decided to look on amazon because it would be cheaper.This is a wonderful book to read if you are truly concerned about you and your families health. The layout is fantastic and the picture really add to the main point of the book. I have gone on to read other health books but this is still one of my favorites. I would recomend braggs guide to healthy living if you wan't to further your nutritional education. Great book and great author.

Colorful, easy read to stay healthy
My husband and I really enjoy this book and bring it out occasionally to try and eat healthier. It has really great tables, fun facts, and overall great information about the foods that we should eat to be healthy.

Short and Sweet
I found this to be a great little book, easy to read with lots of information. Its written very informative, pictures, bits of information. Its not straight, boring reading. He gives lots of good information and its basically an overview of information that he gives in detail from a couple of his other books.This really gives you the basics of living healthier in bite sized pieces with pictures and fun to read. If you don't have much to time sit and read, this would be easy to fit in your schedule. I did read it in one day, with lots of interruptions. Very enjoyable reading and lots of great practices that I can incorporate into my life so that I live healthier.

Not the best book but still interresting. I would recommend it for people who don't know a lot about food. It's pretty basic, you learn about vitamins, minerals,... but you don't learn about uncommon food like superfoods and supplements..
