Spotlight Liquid Concealer-10 (Mocha) Matte Finish

Light weight, full coverage, one of the best concealers in the market. Shade range is a little confusing but I'm a Maybelline Fit Me 230, Milani conceal and perfect 05 Warm Beige in foundations. My concealer shades are Pure Beige in LA Girl Pro concealer (exactly my skin), Medium in Maybelline Instant Age rewind (highlighting concealer) and NC35 in MAC Pro Longwear concealer (very slightly lighter than my skin) I got the shade 07 Nutcracker and it is a little bit yellow for me, but it brightens very well underneath my eyes. In summer, I’m somewhere around NC 40 and this is the perfect shade for concealing. Will need a lighter shade for highlighting/brightening. A little goes a long way as it looks cakey if layered. Despite a couple of negatives, this is the best affordable concealer. It covers all my sun spots & hyper-pigmentation. Pros- Full coverage, easy to blend Long wearing and sweatproof Can be worn alone for a no-make-up look. Shade is perfect for my warm skin tone. Gives a skin-like radiant finish - neither matte nor dewy. Cons: Is somewhat drying even though it claims to be hydrating. I’d moisturized my face well but it was still drying. I set it lightly with a loose powder and don’t bake. Looks cakey/heavy if layered and needs a light hand. It creases like all concealers and would recommend moisturizing under-eye/face well before application. Oxidises. In the photo - L is when its freshly applied and R is after 10 minutes of application.

This is the best concealer from an Indian brand. It provides a good coverage and blends easily. Make sure to hydrate your skin properly before applying this. I bought hot chocolate, I'm NC45 in MAC.

The top applicator was broken

So, it is going to crease on you almost instantly after you apply it. I tried to set it with Laura Mercier’s translucent powder(without baking) it started looking dry and patchy. I tried mac’s powder plus as well, didn’t work. I tried setting it with the urban decay setting spray on a sponge but no. I have oily/combination skin but I do like to use hydrating concealers under my eyes because you can set them to matte without looking cakey, dry and powdery. So this does dry out your under eyes and creases a lot and does get patchy. I tried every method. While this does have a lot of pigment but as soon as I start to blend it, it sheers out tremendously. I tried blending it out with my fingers, brushes, sponges. It is somehow not working for me. The only way I get full coverage from this is when I don’t blend it. Maybe, it’s just me and my skin because I also don’t like Nars radiant creamy concealer and for the exact same reasons. It’s patchy, dry and creases badly! For the moment I am going back to my trusted Born this way and LA girl concealers but I’ll keep playing with this one and update here if I am able to make it work. Nutcracker is a tad bit lighter for me but I can still work around it because it has a yellow undertone. Nutcracker can only be used for undereyes and not for concealing any acne/blemish/hyperpigmentation because it’s slightly light. The shade Melon would’ve looked like my skin I am guessing since I don’t like extra brightened under eyes on an everyday basis, on an everyday basis I prefer more natural shades and color that match my skintone. I am C40 in MAC studio fix fluid and C35 in powder plus. I hope it works for me in the future because it is really inexpensive and I want to like it and I like PAC cosmetics products in general. I will still use it as an eyeshadow base. I would suggest that if you have a pac store near your place, go there and try wearing this concealer for 10 mins atleast before buying it. Posting a picture with other concealers so you can compare the undertone. Hope this helps!
