First time ever trying this, absolutely no sewing/clothing repair experience at all. it takes a little bit of trial and error to figure out what the best way to use the tools is per pants (one way may not work on another pair, seems to depend on the fabric), I had some warm up pants and flannel pajama pants, both took a little different approach but once I figured it out it took about 2 minutes to get them new drawstrings in. The tools are sturdy and the drawstrings are BEEFY, way, way better than what came in either pair of pants I had. If you are going to toss out perfectly fine pants since the drawstring broke, drop a few bucks and keep them longer with this kit!

Helpful and handy. Was very easy to use and had more than enough tools to get the job done. Some people complaining in here about difficulty and cheap…probably are smooth brain mouth breathers. A little common sense goes a long way.

The plastic tool that was included looked too delicate to use. Plus, the opening for the drawstring tip was way too narrow. Fortunately, there were two metal tools in the kit. I used the shortest of the metal tools to thread the drawstring, making sure I had excess string to fold over without pulling out. I then was able to easily pull it through the waist of my pants. I want to caution people about the metal tips that are crimped over the plastic ends of each drawstring. During the first washing, one metal parts came off in the dryer. Another one drop off onto the floor several days later, and I happened to find it easily and dispose of it. My concern is that it could be a choking hazard for small children and curious pets. So far, the drawstrings are holding up, but I can tell that eventually these will unravel to the point of needing to be replaced. For the price, these are a good deal.

I was ready to toss 2 pair of shorts since the string broke, from previous experience using rope/string/shoe lace with a coat hanger I was not looking forward to keeping them. Did a quick search here and found this, I had a new string in, in about 5 minutes. It was so easy!

Replaced the drawstring in his favorite sweats. The larger, pink threader would not work with this drawstring because the metal end would not fit through the "eye". The smaller, metal threader worker fine.

The draw strings are well made with nice metal ends, but the installation tool is useless. The hole in the tool is too small to fit the metal ends.

Needed the drawstrings. Tool was interesting...had to force end of drawstring through second hole..first hole was useless (too small). My hand hurt a bit from the repetitive pushing motion and tool was/became weak...turned white in one spot and thought it might break. It did not and I finished three of my husbands shorts in 30 mins maybe? Worth it..needed it and drawstrings are nice quality.

I bought these for a pair of capris that didn’t come with the drawstring it worked perfectly, very easy to use!

The package i got has only one of the three threader tools mentioned in the description and shown in the picture. I have requested the seller to send me replacement for the missing threader, and am waiting on a response.The tools make it easier to thread, but not very easy - my garment thread channel was not well made and I had to struggle. But as long as it is once a blue moon, I can put up with it.Also, the 8 threads provided are not very different from shoe laces & do not feel comfortable around the waist. A flat tape like material might have been better. Nevertheless, the threader is useful even if atrociously priced.

The hole on the threader that you have to put the new cord through is was too small. I was damaging the metal end to try to get it through. It’s not pliable so you can’t just stretch it to fit it in. Very rigid.There’s only one threader, the pink one, the other two are not included

The drawstring are good quality but the installing kit is horrible do not recommend it doesn’t work well at all
