Hayward SPX2710Z1M 1-1/2-Horsepower Threaded Shaft Maxrate Motor Replacement for Hayward Max Flo Ii Pump

Almost lasted a year. I ordered this just under a year ago and today it started making a grinding noise. I was great while it worked, nice and quiet but it should last more than a year, shouldn't it?Update:I was able to get this replaced since it was under warranty. Hayward was very helpful and thorough in getting me a replacement. The even included a new seal kit and other parts. They told me ü probably failed due to the seal leaking and water for into the bearings. It really works well so I updated my review to 4 stars.

Perfect! It fit exactly as it should and turned out to be an easy fix! Had my pool up and going in no time. ONLY problem I had was that the first one had apparently been dropped and had damage but, Amazon EXPRESS shipped another and all was well.. I would recommend this product. It works perfectly!!

Delivered in a timely manner. My husband goggled the instructions for installation and installed it. Seems to work great! It's a little quieter than the old one!

Did the trick, but I would not recommend the Hayward brand for any of your components. Pump, heater, and saltwater cell all went out on my pool in the 3rd or 4th year.

Price was a factor and a availability.
