Just as expected
My dryer door wouldn't always stay closed, it was tricky getting the old parts out of the door, but the new ones went in easily and my dryer door opening before the clothes are dry problem is solved.

Perfect latch replacement part
I was using duct tape to hold my dryer door closed because it would no longer stay shut. This is a perfect replacement latch for my Kenmore front load dryer (Model 417.81122310). This kit came with 2 metal latches and 3 plastic strike catches. Fortunately, I only needed to replace the metal latch for my door to stay closed again. And now I have 1 extra metal latch if I should need to replace it again in the future. I’m so happy that this fixed the door closure problem very easily, and I didn’t even need to replace the plastic strike catch.I watched a video online to see how to do this myself. I pulled the old metal latch out with pliers. Replacement steps: Take the new metal latch and set it into position in the latch hole in the door (mine was in the vertical position).Using a pair of needle nose pliers -> push on one side of the latch until it’s in.Next -> Make sure it is in straight - I adjusted it with my fingers it to make it straight up and down (not at an angle), and using your fingers, you should be able to just push on the other side and snap the latch into place. Then I used the pliers to gently push it inward to make sure it was clicked into place. Very quick and simple to do.Inexpensive fix, I paid $6.51 (+ tax) for this kit. No need to call for service repair. I did this all by myself. See photo with new latch in place.

Another Affordable Kit
Our Kenmore HE2 dryer's latch was broken. I found this one on Amazon with a good review and an affordable cost compared to other brands. After receiving the pack, I tried to put it on myself. It s so easy like you snap your fingers. I replaced it more than 2 months now. It still works like a charm. My problem was solved. You don't need a repairman or Kenmore technician.

The media could not be loaded. The entire process from taking off the old one to adding the new was not as TDs as I thought it would be when my Appliance guy suggested I DIY it so they fit they’re just a bit janky and clanky you really have to give it a good tug to open the dryer… but like I said so far they seem fine I’ve done about 4 loads since installing them
