Ikea Picture Ledge, 21.75 Inch, Black

I'm not using it for pictures, i painted my daughters room with chalk board paint and needed something to put her erasers and chalk on, so i purchased this.It's very sturdy and took all of 5 minutes to put up.Very sturdy, my 8 year old grand daughter is always messing with it and it's still holding up :)

Didn’t come with hardware or the tabs to put over screws. Also chipped.

I love the aesthetic look of these ledges. I've installed them in my son's nursery. I'm giving it only 3 stars because it does not come with the screws needed. What?! Also, once it is screwed into the wall, it's not 100% sturdy. It wiggles slightly. I do not live anywhere near an IKEA. If I did, I'd never spent $20 on EACH ledge when they're $8 in the store.

It worked very well for what I needed. A bit disappointed it didn't come with screws, but you really need to use molly bolts if you are installing on drywall. They are heavy. I received one with a little damage to the finish. I took a sharpie and colored in the scrape. It is hidden behind pictures anyway.It' s nice because you can move pictures around and change them with minimal holes in the walls.

I like this shelf. It is perfect for smaller areas. However, the hardware is sub standard garbage. The screws are made out of a cheap alloy material and are poorly cast. The screw heads were square and flower shaped instead of round due to the poor casting. I replaced it with my own drywall anchors and black screws. The screws that are supplied are silver in color so there are round black paper stickers that are included to cover the head of the screw up once mounted. The stickers are a silly attempt to hide the screws. It looks as bad with the stickers as it does without them. Nevertheless, if you find better hardware the shelf looks great.

I love this ledge. I have two in my livingroom that hold photos and other small decor, and the third is hung on the backsplash above my stove as a spice rack for my "fancy" spices and seasonings. You can do a lot with this ledge if you just have a little imagination.

but the books kept tipping over I guess its good for pictures and frames but I am to blame for last minute shopping on Christmas.. The shelf itself is very sturdy and was easy to assemble.

I tried hanging multiple pictures on the wall with nails and was always patching holes and straightening pictures. I finally decided to try these and I love them. I can arrange pictures however I want them and change them month to month for different viewing options. I have gotten more compliments on these shelves.
