Good quality Chuck!!
Purchased this being a little skepticle because of price and wondered about quality. Not any issue so far. I went from my smallest bit to my biggest and every thing was true and no issues whatsoever. No issues tightening. Now I don’t do machinist work so don’t know if it has any off runout but I drilled 16 holes 9/16” in 1/2” tool steel in a jig and every one was right on the money. Well pleased!!

Smooth operation
Have used the chuck on a drill press for several months. This chuck is being used on a small farm. I think the chuck has smoother action than others I have used in this price class. I think this is good value and is better than the original chuck that came with the drill press I use. You will need to freeze the tapered shaft (shank) and warm the chuck then assemble with pressure. I did this and have not had any problems with the chuck slipping on the shank. The largest hole I have drilled is 3/4" in mild steel.

It is great for what it is.
What this is;A solid - inexpensive, bang around, reasonably accurate chuck for general utility use.For $35-$40 you will absolutely get your money's worth. What this is not;In any way a comparison to a genuine $600-$900 Jacobs or Superchuck.A tool you should ever expect to do mill spec work with.I expect most buying this here, expect to bore holes in lumber or mild steel ect, without any need for or means to measure extreme levels of accuracy. If it's a buttery smooth feeling, accurate to within .00001 chuck, I doubt you would ever be looking to Amazon to suit those needs anyway.I doubt any two of these chucks would have the exact same runout, or QC, and sure, it doesn't feel like a Superchuck, but, I can tell just from running a high quality brad point bit in the one I received, it is adequate for my intended purpose of this chuck.I'd suggest even if you do happen to receive a faulty one, it's likely a random QC issue and it'd probably be worth giving them another chance to replace it. I doubt finding as decent a new chuck for so little $ elsewhere.Cheers

Perfect Fit
This replaced the old worn chuck in my Central Machinery TT-16 drill. I picked up the drill for $40 at an estate sale and everything worked perfectly except the teeth on the chuck were worn out.I ordered this chuck and spindle after trying another one from another vendor that was $12 less. They sent the wrong parts in the correctly labeled box. It went back and I ordered this one instead. It dropped right in and with a couple taps of a rubber mallet it seated perfectly. The chuck rotates perfectly with no wobble or misalignment and the drills precise holes.

Great Chuck
I was worried about receiving a cheaply manufactured chuck as it is hard to tell the difference among chucks with the on-line descriptions. I was pleasantly surprised about how well the chuck was made, finished and operated. I use it to hold boring bits and I use it on my tail stock of my wood lathe. If anyone is looking for a nice well made 5/8" chuck, I highly recommend this unit.

Works great!
Seems to be great quality, as far as I can tell. After doing a little research to make sure it would be the correct replacement chuck for my drill press, I found this item. Fits great, works smoothly with the included key, holds drill bits and spins true. Can't ask for anything else.

Fits a 15" Craftsman Drillpress
The media could not be loaded. Fits my old 15" Craftsman drillpress. Popped out the old one and this one fits in nicely. Spins straight and true. Holds tight. Pleased with my purchase.
