American ExchangeBig Boys' Solid Zipper Tie

I would have preferred it be a little longer, but great tie for First Communion.

I bought this tie for my 5 year old son. I bought the 12 inch b/c when I measured him with a ruler it looked like it would be long enough. After getting it I now know the 14 inch would have been better. The 12 inch still did the job but I'm not sure he would be able to wear it next year. My son is a very average size 5 year old. The zipper also was getting stuck but for 10 bucks it wasn't bad.

The zipper functioned a little differently than I expected, which made it a little more difficult to work, but not terrible. Made it so the boys couldn't work the ties themselves and we had to do them... though maybe that's not such a bad thing if little boys can't easily pull off their ties. ;)

It was contantly becoming loose and had to be tightened.

My five-year-old son loves wearing his tie for dress up occasions, such as the book fair at school. He wore it with a Hawaiian shirt. I got tons of compliments about how adorable he looked, but it's all his idea. I gave the tie five stars because he loves it, he can put it on himself, it's well made, and it goes with everything. The stress of starting Kindergarten has led him to the annoying habit of chewing his shirt...or tie. The tie is even holding up to this abuse.

I bought this for a friend's son and I was told he looked fantastic in it. When we were testing it in the office the zipper part of it seemed a little odd, but it ended up working fine.The zipper part also itched the kid a bit, but that's all.

Worked great for wedding day, but kids easily broke the plastic part that holds it all together with playing with the zipper too much, like kids do. Would have been better to use metal piece or something else to hold the shape pf the tie.
