Plain & Simple Guide to Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Examinations

On June 27, 2011 I passed the NCETM and I am now Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage. This book and the accompanying practice tests and games that were included on the LLW.com website added a fun way of retaining the information presented and I found them to be a wonderful resource. This book definitely lives up to its title of "Plain & Simple". I honestly don't think Laura Allen could have made it much simpler for anyone to study only the information specifically needed to pass the exam without a lot of fluff.

Tells you what you need to know and has good practice questions. The companion website is helpful and even allows you to view an electronic copy of the book so you don't have to cart it with you everywhere. Fun review games add a nice change of pace for studying.

This book had greatly prepared me for the exam. She made fun to study with the companion of on-line questions and games that also helped. Laura also made everything easy to understand. I will refer this book to my fellow classmates that have yet to take the exam. Needless to say; I passed the exam!

Best book for exam prep that I know of

In going through the tests (small chapter quiz type tests) and the one at the end of the book I discovered mistakes - not many, but enough to make me question the rest of the content of the book! If there are a number of mistakes I found, how many did I miss and now have studied material that I 'think is correct' and indeed isn't?! I would go with another book for studying.

I had to take my Nationals exam, this was an excellent study guide for that exam. So much easier than getting out all of your textbooks from the massage thereapy program.The shipping was extremely fast....thanks Amazon!!!!

Can't wait to take the test! The book is great. It takes you back through the basics in a very recognizable format. It's massage school all over again in a handbook. NCBTMB here I come!!!

I have yet to take my MBLEX, however this book is helping.
