Better sound quality than Klipsch - really
Purchased a Klipsch surround speaker set for the back room. But there wasn't enough midrange the system sounded tinny, another reviewer blamed that tinny sound on the AV receiver. So, I decided what the heck lets try these Boss speakers that were originally intended for a different application. Viola they did the trick. Combined with the 1980's Fisher towers these Boss speakers brought a warm deep mid-range that was totally missing. The system sounds warm, clean, and crisp. Just lovely. Eddy Vetter never sounded better.

Surprising sound from an inexpensive speaker
I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of these speakers. I bought two pair to mount under the bench seats in my Boston Whaler 13 Sport and am powering them with the Boss Audio MGR350B head unit. The speakers themselves feel well made given the price point. I was a bit concerned about low end bass because of the advertised frequency response (80hz) and size of the woofer (4"), but because I basically have them mounted in an echo chamber, the bass resonates throughout the boat is more than adequate. Mids and highs are crisp and are not tinny. I can crank up the volume and get no distortion, which I thought was shocking for cheap speakers. For the money, I am more than pleased with the quality of sound these little units pump out. There are really two downfalls to these speakers. The brackets are steel, so they are prone to rust. I spray painted them with black paint in hopes that will offer more protection. Also, the grills are steel and are not removable. I wipe them with Boeshield T9 (similar to WD-40) periodically in hopes that will keep rust away. Time will tell how long these last, but as of now, I am happy with the purchase and hope they do hold up over time.

Perfect for indoor RV/Travel Trailer Use.
I own a 2015 KZ 20RBS with a Jensen Stereo/DVD player and have been disappointed in the sound of the system since it was new. The A-channel are the two cheapy inside ceiling mounted speakers and the C-channel are the outdoor speakers.Channel B was unused. I decided that I wanted to fix it where the TV would work through the stereo (The DVD would work through the speakers but not the TV) Head scratch ?? Since I was working with the system I decided that I would utilize Channel B and make the sound more full.Enter the BOSS 4.3" speaker set !!! I just got done installing them in the trailer and they sound amazing. I have a pretty good ear since I have been a musician for years and these little guys have an incredible frequency response with crisp highs full mid-range and surprisingly deep responsive bass. I couldn't be happier especially for the price. These speakers are a perfect combination for the Stereos that come in most Travel Trailers. They are well made and super easy to mount. ****Note I'm a person that likes to listen to music and movies at a medium volume level so I'm not sure how they would hold up if "cranked up". They are rated @ 200 watts but I've always only fed speakers half of their rated amount.

Rust on speaker cover within two weeks after installation
Just like other reviews, the speaker grill began to rust within two weeks after I installed them. I am not impressed with the quality of these speakers. If you want to do yourself a favor, DO NOT purchase these speakers. Look elsewhere. Yes, they are cheap, but you get what you pay for. I would have expected some surface rust after a few years, not a few days.

"Disposible" speakers... crisp highs. No bass.
So im going to be objective. I consider myself picky with audio but too cheap to spend the money:) these speakers replace my Yamaha outdoor speakers. Hands down the Yamaha beats these. Its also 200$ vs these 50$ boss no name brand speakersI wanted to buy really cheap outdoor speakers because for summer use, they go right on the pool house shed. The listening environment is atrocious outside and noise from people in the pool and pool pump really leads to no reason why I would spend a thousand dollars here on speakers. I also actually keep these outside all winter and I dont uninstall them. The yamaha lasted 4 years in these extreme conditions until they totally got shot. So i was looking for literally disposable speakers that lasts 2 summers and I'm ok to replace them.Initially I was really upset and ready to return them. They sounded horrible with zero highs and muffled lows. Then I decided to swap the amp from a tiny t-amp 10watts to a substantial 100w amp. They sound much better. These need a minimally decent amp to drive them. It is MUCH better now.Plenty of treble and mids. Not much in terms of bass. Thats ok. Its really just for background music not for crazy parties. So if youre like me and you need disposible speakers that fits the 50$ mark, these little ones are a decent buy.Update:As expected. These rust in a single season. See picture. But actually they sound still ok for the money. But yeah consider them disposable speakers.

Excellent product for the price
I am using these speakers to provide music to our pool and patio area and have read some other reviews going on about the sound quality and how they were disappointed in them. The speakers are visually appealing and seem to be constructed well and the sound quality is great for the price. I did not want to spend a lot of money for them as they will be outside in all weather and around a salt water pool. The only negative feedback about the construction of the speaker is the spring tension clips on the back of the speakers to hold the speaker wire, the clips have came out on me during installation but I managed to assemble them back together again, I would have liked them to be the screw type connection but again I can understand that is in place for the value. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting an outdoor speaker for low-mid volume sound.

Good product
Nice speakers, great value. Installed these on my deck under the bench seating. The 180 degree swivel is great for either point them in towards the deck or out towards the yard. I recommend.
