Good for Dragon!
Headline says most of it--there is an important caveat, though. This is likely NOT going to work well for voice recognition/transcription if you plug it directly into your computer, even if you buy an adapter to combine the speaker and microphone into a single jack. The reason that doesn't (usually) work well? Because most sound cards aren't very good. The workaround would be to buy a USB adapter, but it would probably make more sense to buy the "USB" model of this headset for use on a laptop or desktop computer. Unless your sound card is really good. That said...I use this with both an Olympus voice recorder and an Android phone. The phone requires an adapter, since it has a single speaker/microphone jack. The Olympus recorder has the nice feature of letting me listen to my recording as I dictate.Either way, I get very good accuracy out of this headset. I wouldn't recommend it for listening to music (the sound is sort of tinny), but that's not what I bought it for.I use this for both Dragon 15 Professional Individual (mostly for transcription) and Dragon Anywhere (mostly for quick notes). Results are good both ways, though DPI's transcription is significantly better and more customizable.Might be worth mentioning that it helps a lot with DNS to set up a separate profile for each microphone and/or transcription source. So I have one for the phone without the headset, one for phone-plus-headset, and a couple of others for the voice recorder. And yet another for direct use on the computer, but I use a separate microphone for that. For me at least, this is comfortable enough to wear for hours. I like the way the earpiece swivels for easy packing, too.Overall? I've never tried any of the truly expensive microphones/headsets out there. I may someday, but the results I get from this are more than good enough. I get at least 98% accuracy, even on a bad day.It might be useful to upgrade the foam to a "deadcat" wind filter, but I haven't yet felt the need.I bought mine on 1/19/2018, have packed it and carried it many times, and it's still going strong. The durability surprised me. It doesn't feel all that solid. But it's lasted a lot longer (given the way I haul and throw it around) than I'd expected.

Bought these for work.
I run a support team that recently moved from desktop phone hardware to an internet-only phone service. I needed cheap headsets that didn't sound completely awful. I bought these along with an adapter so it could be used on our single-port Macbook AirsPROS:- Affordable.- The sound quality is great. It picks up very little background noise, and agents on the other end sound crisp and clear.- Decently constructed. Doesn't look or feel "cheap"CONS:- The cord isn't super long, which may not be a big deal for most folks (just be aware).- The headset band was too tight for a lot of my agents, and it doesn't adjust well to fit comfortably on larger heads. This was probably the biggest drawback.Overall, was a good headset for the price.

Great for dictation
I got these to work with my quality digital recorder. This recorder allows for the headphone input/output jacks as this has. The quality sound is better as the headphone mic is directional, rather than an omni-pickup. This is important for transcribing via a program like Dragon, which I use. I've been pleased with them so far.

I purchased this product in May 2015. Initially it worked well -- both with a computer (Voip calls) and will a cellphone (with adapter plugs). However, over the last month or so (in about 7 months), it went bust. Callers at the other end said my voice was muffled and incoherent. When I speak directly into the computer/phone (or use a different headset), the problem is gone.Dissapointed that it spoiled so soon. I will contact Andrea warranty support

Very Good for Dragon Medical
This review is for people using this product with Dragon Medical. If you consider the price it is 5 stars. Very accurate with Dragon Medical 11, should be just as good with version 12. The mute switch is a bit too small, plasticy/flimsy, and feels it may not survive heavy use. For my type of use I would have preferred the mute switch to be further away down the cord. If you are using this for Dragon Medical it is rated 6 dragons (highest accuracy). Similarly rated handheld microphones cost 10 times more. Sure they have more functionality buttons and may be slightly more accurate but this gets the job done very well. Overall I am happy with the product.

returned it
it was too much weight on the head and kept sliding off, also, it was not compatible. So I decided on a stationary microphone which just works super!

Very nice quality headset.
I use this headset on my iPad Air2 when using dictation and communications apps! The audio quality, so I'm told, is clear and very understandable. I also had to use a little plug adaptor to go from the two plugs on the headset to the one jack on the iPad...

Could they make it more uncomfortable?
Technically, it works good with Dragon speech recognition, but like the original I find it extremely uncomfortable.
