Solutions For: Blackheads Dullness and uneven skin tone Pores Oiliness Blemishes ★★★★★ Customer Review by Teresa Malone: This black mask made with charcoal and bamboo extract for purification makes is a fantastic deep cleansing mask. My chin gets blackheads so bad that they poke out above the skin and I can scratch the tops off with my fingernail. I know, gross, right? When I tried this mask, I was so afraid of it getting stuck to my face and hurting. But it peeled off easily, without taking the skin with it, only removing the blackheads. How to Use: 1. Cleanse your face with your normal cleanser. 2. Place a hot towel on face focusing on areas with larger pores and blackheads for several minutes. 3. Apply an even layer of Essy Beauty activated charcoal mask focused on areas with blackheads and open pores, avoiding sensitive skin around the eyes, brows, and lips. 4. Allow mask to dry for 15-20 minutes or longer if necessary. 5. Gently peel the mask off start from the bottom of the mask. Rinse face with warm water if needed. The product comes with: 1 tube of Essy Beauty activated charcoal mask 1 silicone mask brush

Not effective
It really didn't pick up any black heads except for the really big and obvious ones.ETA: After this review posted, I got an email from the company asking if there's anything they can do to get me to remove my bad rating. I don't really want my money back, or get more of the same product if that means changing my review. While I understand that negative reviews can really wreck a business, it's also important to protect fellow consumers by providing accurate information in reviews. I will be leaving my review up, so that others can know what my honest experience was.

It works!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. You must spread this on thick and allow to dry thoroughly before removing. As you can tell from the video it works! Rated 4 starts bc it didn't quite remove everything, but overall great product. Will buy again.

Gross...but in a great way!
I have a pretty solid skin care routine, steaming my face, exfoliating, toning, moisturizing, etc. but didn't realize there was so much crap still stuck in my skin after all my hard work! At first it didnt look like the mask pulled out that much crud, but after it sat for a second and everything that got yanked out dried up, the mask resembled the skin of a kiwi. Dont mean to gross you out if you like kiwis (childhood favorite of mine) but damn! it pulled a lot of gross stuff out of my face!I dont have sensitive skin, and am use to waxing my whole body, so pulling the mask off was not uncomfortable for me. so I use it on my entire face every other week, and my T-zone once a week. My skin looks so soft and smooth...glowing if I dare be cheesy. and the application tool is a must, as this stuff is a wild consistency. It took me two applications to figure out how to apply it evenly, but its pretty easy.I will totally get this mask again as I am frantically searching for the fountain of youth, and this is a great way to deny father time the pleasure of wrinkling my face.

Mask was decent, but pushy "customer service" ruins the whole experience (UPDATE 5/12/2021)
UPDATE 5/12/2021: I have now received three emails asking me to change my review to 5-stars. Ironically, this last one said, and I quote, "I would like you to know that we are not harassing you, we only want to know about your decision." This honest review IS my decision. My honesty is not up for negotiation. Be VERY careful about buying from this company.UPDATE 4/28/2021: In my original review, I wrote that this company reached out to me through snail mail and offered incentives to review. Just today (almost four full months after my review) I received an email from the Jenny Miller on the seller's customer service team offering me a full refund and extra money on gift cards if I would take down this review. She also offered me the "option" of changing my review to 5-stars because they have satisfying customer service. NO. I will not change this review. It is honest, and contacting me multiple times trying to push me to review your product highly rather than honestly makes me LESS likely to ever try products from this company again. Your customer service is NOT satisfying; it is pushy, and I will never buy from you again. Below is my original review of the product, which I originally gave 3-stars.I have big pores on my chin that I'm trying to shrink and clear, and a few blackheads here and there. Generally, my skin is not sensitive at all, so I have my pick of skincare products. The last mask I used I liked okay, but I had to wash it off rather than peel it, which I found annoying. Hence, I bought this after spending WAY too long looking at the photos other customers have posted of what their mask pulled out of their skin (as I'm sure many of you have done).Unfortunately, I just didn't have the same result. This mask comes with a little applicator (shown in my photo). The product itself is so thick and gel-like that it can be a little hard to squeeze out of the bottle, but that thickness is a good thing when it comes to masks, so that should be expected. It spreads quite easily with the applicator. The mask, when wet, is extremely sticky and a hazard if it gets to close to your hairline, so try to keep your hair back or up when using it. The product comes out jet black and stays that color; in fact, when dry, it still looks wet, so you'll likely want to pat the applicable areas to test for dryness. It asks you to wait ten minutes to dry, and this is mostly sufficient, though I've peeled off the mask before just to find small wet spots underneath (usually around the crevasses of my nostrils, where it's harder to dry). This can be easily wiped off with wipes of some damp toilet paper/towels.This mask applies well and peels easily. Why the three stars, then? It did nothing noticeable for me. Other than the satisfying experience of peeling it off and looking at the mask, there has been no improvement in my skin. In fact, the pores of my nose and into my inner cheeks are getting larger (I'm not blaming the mask for this, but just showing it does not prevent this or shrink them). And the stuff it pulled out of my face? All tiny little hairs and their roots. This mask worked on exactly 0 of my blackheads, even after multiple uses over the span of a few weeks. After looking at the other photos customers have left here, I have realized that most of the things pulled out of everyone's faces are tiny hairs and roots that look like oil build-up because they're usually whitish-cream in color. This product is a good consistency, a decent price, and works as well as it claims in a practical sense (application, peeling, etc.), but it has done nothing it has claimed for my skin. I should note that I did receive a letter through snail mail from the seller a few weeks after my order offering an Amazon gift card or another free item for reviewing this product on their website. This is not an uncommon method of gathering reviews, nor is it entirely suspect or disallowed by Amazon's review system, but I want other customers to know that this brand participates in this behavior so they can take all their reviews with a grain of salt. (For the promise of a reward, customers are more likely to increase their rating or exaggerate their claims of a product.) This is not a bad product. It just doesn't work as well as it claims to.

Beware this is the worst mask I've ever used.
This product is the worst mask I have ever used. It hurt so badly when I removed it I was in tears. Even better was when I reached out to customer service they said they would offer a refund if I left a positive review. Please do not purchase this product its horrible and the customer service is even worse.

Decent, but priced a bit high.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I love that it comes off so easily. It does leave some product behind on the face (as shown in the pictures). But I do think that it gets rid of all dead skin. I haven’t seen it unclog pores - but that could be because my pores are really tight and small. I do think it helps brighten skin a little bit, which you’d expect after removing dead skin from the top layer. Be sure to apply it throughly, don’t make the layer too thick or too thin - drying and removing the mask becomes difficult, respectively.

Good skin cleaner, not a deep clean
I originally got this product to replace my pore strips. I assumed a mask would be able to get down into my pores and really clean them out. Sadly I was mistaken. The mask itself is really easy to put on, especially after a hot shower or steam. After that it's lackluster. The mask takes longer to dry than advertised, it's tough to remove as the edges usually just ball up, and worst of all, it doesn't really clean. I realize this product doesn't advertise as "deep cleaning" but when my 8 dollar pore strip does more work in less time, I'm not very impressed. My face isn't very dirty either, I wash my face daily. I tried giving this a fighting chance with a hot towel treatment, waiting very long, and going slow, but still results in almost nothing coming off. Sure, you do see small specs of dirt on the film (when it doesn't ball up) but comparing that to the results of a pore strip? It's no contest. If you're looking for an easy, overall light cleaning then this product will work for you. It is good for full-face coverage whereas a strip can't, but for anyone struggling with blackheads and dirty pores like myself, this just doesn't cut it.
