No way! This type of saw is for taking things apart, not building them. You take it to the site you want to demolish. You want a table saw, or a miter saw or a circular saw or a jig saw. not this

Can you use this around water--for plumbing where water may leak?

As long as it's grounded you'll be OK. I used it on construction sites around water fire 20 years. Never had a problem
