Not too loud and good Alexa support.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to use in my bedroom when it gets really hot and I struggle to sleep. It cools the room down fairly quickly and even in the hottest weather during the summer it can make the room far colder than you would ever need. The noise level isn't too bad and it's one of the quieter units I have used (video attached) and I was able to sleep with it on but occasionally it can make a slightly louder sound. The best feature by far is the Wi-Fi connectivity and Alexa support. This is the only way I use to control it and you can adjust the temperature and turn it on and off without moving which makes it very good for when your in bed.I did try and use it with the window adaptor but it does not fit a typical UK window and I decided to drill a hole in the wall and route the pipe outside. I got a cheap tumble dryer kit from screwfix to attach the pipe too. This is by far the best thing to do if you are planning on using it in one room only.So overall the pros and cons are:Pros:-Good at cooling-Great Alexa support-Not as loud as other unitsCons:-Window kit not very useful-May be too noisy for some people to sleep with

Very poor product and service.
Bought June 2022. Moved to daughter’s bedroom (we had read the unit needs to be carefully moved keeping upright, and we were careful). Used for summer in 2022 and unit worked wellSummer 2023 we started using in August but noticed air con was not cold. Reported September 2023. Advised by electriq that warrant ran out June and they couldn’t help.Found air con engineer who advised cost of fixing would be greater than replacing. Said it was definitely a manufacturer issue as units typically last 5-7 years.Spoke to electriq about engineer feedback. Was told warranty was just out of date and Thur couldn’t help.So a very disappointing purchase of almost £300 for one summer’s use, and we are back to using fans! Air con unit going to the tip.We were obviously unlucky but very poor service. This was our first and last purchase from electriq .

Adequate but not as efficient as I’d hoped; smartphone control is handy
Noisier than I expected but upon checking the dB were within the tolerance. It is too noisy for me to have on and sleep. The internal thermostat on mine doesn’t work/is wildly inaccurate. Fortunately I have another sensor for the temperature in the room I use it in most and so I can patch around this but it’s much more manual and fiddly than I had hoped and experienced with other (admittedly built in) AC units. The fact that you can switch it on and off remotely via your smartphone is handy - I aim to cool my room while I’m out so it’s pleasant when I’m back and I don’t have to endure the racket while it goes to work. The dehumidifier seems pretty lame compared to a simple cheap dehumidifier. I will wait for the colder weather to see whether the heat pump setting is really so energy efficient. Given what I’ve experienced I’d say this product underwhelms relative to the sales description but given how insufferably hot some days were this year I had to do something and this seemed the least ecologically bad and most useful of what are, let’s be honest, unattractive devices from an environmental perspective.

Hose short, window guard is for sliding windows only.
The cooling aspect of this unit works well in a bedroom, and bought the temperature down quite quickly. However I found it too noisy to leave on for sleeping. Remote was really useful, the WiFi really not worth it as an extra. The hose is rather short, and the unit needed to be placed directly in front of the window, which obstructs access so needs to be moved about. The window guard is only for sliding windows but this is not apparent on the model description on web sites. An extension hose would solve the issue, but the instruction book guards against this, as the unit could malfunction and fitting one could invalidate the warranty. I have another unit 12000BTU that does better and it’s years old, but it’s an okay average product. Personally I think it’s a bit pricey, even with the discount I got for delivery errors.

Highly recommended
With the unexpected heat that we've been having, this was a real lifesaver for our medium sized bedroom. Being a portable unit, I didn't want less than 12,000 BTU and that was a good choice. This little unit very quickly cools the room down and I had no issues with the window kit / venting (I'm lucky to have sash/sliding windows).Controls on the unit are greater, the timer function is very helpful. Sleep mode.. yeah, seems okay. A great multifunction device, I would buy again. The only problem is that my unit was missing its remote, so I can't comment about this. You can manage without this, but obviously it is a nice to have. The seller was able to resolve this for me, however. It is kinda noisy, but that is inevitable. It's not unbearable and was on par for what I expected.Bottom line: exactly what I'd hoped for, alright value and effective cooling.

Buyer beware
On first use the item leaked from the base and left a puddle on my wooden flooring, dried that up and made sure machine empty of water and put back on heating mode reason it was bought and 2vhours later water full warning light on but no water in tank, left till next morning and warning light off, tried again and after about running for 3 hours on heat mode warning light on again but tank barely any water.Tried to do a return online but wanted me to pay for return so called Amazon who contacted supplier to request they pay a courier but seller not offering one. This was a Prime purchase and payment taken by Amazon and faulty goods but I'm expected to pay return which I won't be under sale of goods act
