I enjoyed this flat iron for the last couple of years and it suited my needs - however, I treated the product very delicately so that it would last for years as I do all of my products that cost alot of money !!!!!! I made a note to never fold the wires / bend the cords / wrap it up - but left it in one position and only turned it on / off to use on a semi daily basis. It lasted only a couple of years and shorted at the cord where it attaches to the iron. The company said " sorry - we have only a 1 year warranty and cant fix or replace for you ".... Definitely wont buy another Keratin Complex Product if they break that fast !!!!!! I work too hard for my $$$ :(

I ordered this item from the vendor Sleekhair, expecting the original Kc1490. They sent a "replacement", not the item pictured, stating that the original Kc1490 was discontinued. I was disappointed that I was not contacted and asked if I wanted the replacement. However, I bought the replacement for my two daughters, who use my original model constantly. The new model works fine, but Is slightly different from the original. I am keeping it, but feel it was either lazy or unscrupulous to just send out something different than what is pictured.

I just received my Keratin complex stealth 111 flat iron. My main concern is that i can not use it due to plug-in the socket. It does not fit in my socket. I have paid $209 for an flat iron that I really want to use it!! Please Advise!!What kind of plug -in is this ? Am I missing a part? I will return this flat iron if i can not use it!

Worth the money. I have a thin hair and I was afraid that it won't work for me or burn my hair. I turned the heat down to 350 and the result was perfect; naturally straight and shinny hair.

My hair has always been tough to straighten as I have naturally curly, super thick, full hair. About two months before I bought the GHB $200 straighten and had to run it about 3 times down each section of hair before seeing it straighten even a little bit. I've tried the Chi and various other products as well, but this straightener worked better than anything else I've ever tried. It gets hot within seconds and constantly stays hot throughout its use. Hair is straighted quickly and easily after just one swift pass, saving me tons of time and lots of energy (it's super hard to keep you hands working over your head for hours without getting exhausted). I highly recommend this over more expensive flat irons for people with thick curly hair.
