The concept is great but they could improve a few things. First you can only control the light from within the app. In the app you can set the light to "Off" "On" or "Motion Activated" It would be helpful to be able to have the light come on at sunset and turn off at sunrise. Also would be nice to be able to control the light from Smartthings, or Alexa, but you can't as per the seller, Since the light can be be controlled only via the app, there has to be a way to allow control from the users network outside of the app, maybe an api or webcall. Second issue is the camera quality. The camera is not HD, it is less than 1MP, I use it as a front door camera so it's not that bad but it could be much better. It does work with Blue Iris, and works well, which is a huge plus. Records to sd card no cloud fee’s or subscriptions. Camera is wireless but light and camera get power from light fixture which makes it very convenient to add this camera any place you have outdoor lighting fixtures. They should make the quality of the camera better and allow the light to be controlled via smartdevices and add dusk to dawn feature, then it would be 5 stars. Now lets hope it lasts.Otherwise it’s pretty good. The app works well but could be gone over by a person whose speaks better english. you can play precanned phrases from the units speaker such as “sorry, I am busy right now” or you can talk directly with the person like a ring camera. Everything seems to work well, light is very bright.

First off, I've had it installed for over a week now and am very pleased. Installation very easy, setup with wi-fi no problem like other reviewers had. I worried about wifi range as this unit is mounted behind my garage about 100' from the house. But no problem, it's working just fine with no hiccups. No problem with false alarms either. We had a record rainfall here in DC the other day (3" in an hour) but the unit worked merrily along and didn't false alarm like other motion sensors did.My only problem was with getting the video to store. First, it was troublesome to get the micro SD card to lock into place. After several attempts I finally got it to stick. But it wasn't showing up in the app. I knew the card was formatted as it came from my camera. After fiddling around for much too much time, I decided to check how it was formatted. Turns out the SD card was formatted exFAT32 which I guess the floodlight doesn't recognize. I reformatted the card to NTFS, reinstalled and now all is working fine. Picture is a little small, but you can zoom in. Sound not bad either.will update as time goes on........

It’s only been up for a day but it’s pretty darn good. Heavily made, not like your normal Chinese trash. Like someone here said, night vision is excellent. I saw the image and went to the window to see if the light was actually on. It was off! If it holds up, I’ll be a happy camper. The photo shows night vision. No lights are lit. It was dark when the pic was taken. I had a problem downloading vids, but it was on me. You have to go into the app and give the camera access to your photos (write only). Downloading is a little awkward because you have to click the download button and the stop download button the instant the vid starts, while the phone or iPad is in landscape.

Solidly built, well performing, nice recordings (I bought the SD card to store recordings) Set up with my phone was straight forward. I wanted to control it with my computer but after an hour and a half with tech support, no progress. The tech support in china just couldn't make it happen. WE connected on Skype sot of. The tech said he didn't have a microphone on his computer but it was obvious he didn't speak English and was using the translation program to communicate. I am happy with the phone working so that will do for now.

Update: The app for this smart floodlight. Does not get updated this making it unless for Android 10 and 11. I spent to much for a device I can no longer use. No stars if possible.At this point of the review. I have this connected in my basement for testing purposes. It was very easy to setup using the app. I did have to factory reset the device once so it took two times to do the setup to get it to work. This is a well made product with many features that I like and use. Video quality is much better then I expected. The APP has a good set of user setting for customization. It is ONVIF compliment so it works with my NVR security recorded. It has built in recording capability as well. I can manually turn on and off the light through the app. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for this type of smart security lights.Update 3/25/19I had an issue with an update app that I installed. I sent an email to support and my issue was resolved within 24hrs. Support is really helpful. ONVIF compatibility is really good. This was added into my LaView NVR very easily. I highly recommend this security floodlight.

many problems with setup and alarm going off for no reason. Also could not get the sd card to work

This is absolute GARBAGE!!! DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA!!!!! We attempted to save ourselves some money and did quite an extensive research and mistakingly trusted a camera that we thought would work which initially it did however after 45 days there was a camera upgrade that had to occur and they sent us a link to download with very limited instructions. Not only was it next to impossible to follow we also had to download a WINRAR File because it wouldn’t allow us to upgrade the camera without it. If I didn’t have someone who had a computer science degree I wouldn’t have known how to do it!!! Literally after two hours of attempting to re-configure and “upgrade” the software, the camera failed to reconfigure. Save yourself a lot of stress and pay a little extra and buy the ring!!! Lesson learned!!!
