I bought this for my fish tank filter and it works perfectly. This actually will last me for about 3 to 4 months and save me a lots of money on buying OEM filters. For those wondering how I am using this filter media in my fish tank filtration system, I will give you my insight. I used to buy OEM filter every 30 days costing me a lots of money. That did not make me happy. Then, I researched online how some people are saving money by making their own filters. So, that's what I have been doing. Besides, those OEM filters only have Carbons and padding material. Having said that, the last OEM filter I bought I kept and stripped all of its padding down to the plastic as much as I can and also the plastic that you slide the other part into it. Now, just as you see it in my pics... all I do is lay the padding first in such a way I can close it once I put all the filter media; like carbon, lime stone and the bio ball. Then, I simply close the padding by simply stuffing it along the plastic sleeve... It works. Since I started to do this, I have not gone back to OEM. My fish tank water is crystal clear and my fishes are HAPPY like before.I recommend this filter pad for all fish tank owners.

We have a big drooling Great Pyrenees male (left) that leave globs of drool in his bowl after drinking, so our other two dog refuse to share a water bowl with him. Trying to keep a water bowl clean even for a day was a lot of work so we got him a water fountain bowl which constantly circulates the water.Underneath the fountain a pound pump is surrounded by this quality aquarium filter (changed regularly) which filters the water as the pump pulls water through and up through the pump. I have been using this filter sponge for the dog water bowl since 2018 and continue to be pleased.

I have a 45 gallon tank with 15 freshwater fish. I save a ton of money because it works perfectly. I cut out a size, put it in my filter and my water is crystal clear always! I change it maybe once every three weeks to a month .

Well, I recently got my first canister filter this year and I recently learned that a dual sponge like this really needs to be cut properly..I may have done it up side down but other than that I have no issue with the filter media and its ability to collect waste. the small draw back is my canister is larger than some Ive seen and the filter pad only has space for 3 max cuts. So I just need a bigger roll, easy resolve.

Great for a few uses, the blue holds up great but i will double stack this filter media a lot of the time to be sure its working. Have been running it for months now. Almost out probly will buy again but keep in mind there are othere filter cloths out there and this is not the go to.

* Update: This thinner version does not work well at all on my drinking fountain. Because the material is so much thinner, it sucks into the grooves of the pump. I end up with my hands in slime water trying to reposition the filter material. I will have to find something more like what I was sent on my initial order.This is my second time purchasing this product. I use it on my pets’ water drinking fountain, which was an awesome suggestion I read when I was buying the fountain. However, this time the filter/screen is considerably thinner than the last time I ordered. Previously, there was a very clear distinction between the blue and the white sides of the filter and the material was much more substantial. This time, the alternate to the blue side is white-ish, I guess, but it is very thin and you can see the blue side through it. I am sure it will still filter dog lip slime and sand, but definitely a different product.

This filter pad is fantastic! It's thick, and not flimsy like others I have tried in the past. I used this in my HOB AquaClear 110 for my turtle tank, placing it on top of the white foam filter. The blue side is definitely the more coarse side, so make sure you place this blue side down if the water is coming into your filter from the bottom up. It is easy to cut and has really helped clear up my water.

I am using this in my 24 gallon salt water tank that I have had for well over 6 years. I have used many different types of filter media, and this is possibly the best. The density of the media is perfect for removing a large amount of junk, but it does not clog up and overflow like the cheaper filter media does. I will keep getting this for my aquarium. If there are issues, I will write about them here. Until then, I give this product a 5 star rating.
