Bought this picc
I just received this in the mail last night. It's taken several weeks to arrive from China (I didn't realize it was not available on prime).Amazon doesn't even realize that it's arrived at my address and shows it as "out for delivery." Interesting. I left it in it's shipping packaging overnight as I know from experience that guitars should be left in their case for several hours when exposed to cold. So I took the same precautions with this just in case. I slept with it next to me.A little about me: I am a professional multi-instrumentalist and play more than flutes or winds. I have played second chair flute at college level (not university). I play concert and alto flute. Not piccolo, so this is not my strength by any means. This piccolo plays well right out of the box without a setup. I would imagine if you are a piccolo player and have your tech do a good setup on this it would play amazing. Without piccolo chops I can easily play over two octaves on this. Out of the box.It gets a good woody tone. It seems to be made out of good quality materials. Obviously it's not a wood / resin pearl or yamaha but it reminds me of those. It has a wood grain pattern. There are absolutely no markings on it whatsoever. No model numbers etc. It makes me think this company manufactures mid-level instruments for larger reputable companies. A search of the seller reveals they sell a lot of parts for band instruments. This leads me to believe they provide parts etc to large popular companies and that this piccolo is sold under a name brand in Europe or elsewhere. You simply cannot go wrong for $150 for this instrument. If you are a high school, college, or professional and want a backup or something you can march this piccolo will shine. I'm surprised more buyers have not purchased it?

It sounds great but didn’t come with cork grease
It’s sounds good right out the case but in the photos it said it comes with cork grease and it didn’t

Not good
Experienced flute player and Irish flute player. This piccolo wouldn’t sound out of the package. The cork was not set properly. Once that was taken care of it would play in the first octave but second octave was still bad. Looks good, but definitely not for a beginner or for student trying out piccolo for the first time. I would not recommend this.

GREAT PICC FOR THE MONEY
i'm a professional flautist and often have to play piccolo. I have a really expensive picc, but don't always want to take it on jobs and will not play it outdoors so for those times, this certainly is worth the money. I would not recommend this for beginners. First off, a young student should be studying flute for several years before even attempting the piccolo and second, this "wave" headjoint is not always easy to produce a good tone. I'm very satisfied with this instrument.

Good value for intended use
Product arrived earlier than I expected. Easy and trouble-free purchase and delivery. Intended use as short-term backup for main professional instrument. Good value for this purpose.

This is a student model Piccolo
This student model piccolo is not on the low end of quality. I have owned two other piccolos before. This one is difficult to play the highest F#, G#, Bb, B and the high C. It is not leaking anywhere, so I would consider it just a mite touchy. Someone in High School or College would be fine with it. Another one of this model probably won't have the problem.

Good tone
It plays well, but it’s a bit harder to get a sound out if you’re just starting, beginners should spring for a metal piccolo to begin with.

Broke
It broke within a week of getting it the silver piece fell off and the head joint was very lose. Not worth the money.
