If you are looking to get into trading and have no idea where to begin, this book is a pretty solid pick.What I like most about it is the author's capacity to reduce the complexity and entirety of Currency-trading into short easy to read bits of texts.Of-course this book does not cover everything on trading, but it touches on the main principle ideas behind currency trading that every trader should know in order to increase their chances into making winning trades.

This is a solid review of the 'nuts & bolts' of 'retail' forex trading-- peaks and troughs in liquidity, world-wide trading hours, technical analysis, the use of various types of 'orders,' and-- most critically-- what it means to buy or sell a currency pair. The order of the ratio-- say, EUR/USD-- is key to understanding the latter.In part two, the authors get bogged down in a 100+ page discussion of 'fundamentals' of currency trading-- economic events, broadly defined, that can affect currency pairs. *Way* too much information here! The authors would have been more helpful if they had just provided a comprehensive list of economic 'events' and 'announcements,' the approximate release dates, and a brief discussion of how the 'event' or 'announcement' *usually* moves a currency pair. That probably would have covered about twenty pages, instead of 100+.All in all, an excellent primer on currency trading.

As a beginner to forex this gave a great overview of what it seems like everything to know. They went into detail at times but mostly general rules of thumb as expected because there are other books dedicated to one of the many subjects they touched on.When they did go into deep detail I wish they had more or better visual of the charts because I got kinda lost and started to skim over some parts. Although it probably makes more sense to intermediate traders with more background.

Book is a good foundation for currency trading. It has a wide breadth and fairly sufficient depth for anyone to get started. It is presented in an organised and easily digest able manner. However kindle version can be improved with higher resolution diagrams. They are not readable.

Great book for anyone wanting to dabble in the currency trading market. Easy to read and they have pre marked the important things to know in each chapter!

Very good overview. You won't become a trader but you'll be reminded of everything you need to keep track of.

I am a nurse so learning anythign finance is challanging for me. The words are easy to read but it still is challanging for me to understand and its not really interesting enough to draw me as a reader in. I wish it had more humor, pictures and more terms that were taught.

Not really for the absolute beginner. Structured & written in an odd way, where the authors are talking about things & using words before anything has been explained. The book doesn’t really start you off at the beginning as if you have no knowledge. Kinda vague on explaining anything & leaves you scratching your head. Stick to baby pips website. Much easier to follow & better guide.

Don't be hesitant in buying this book. it's a great introduction to currency trading and doesn't shoot around the question of what actually affects the market, and what the daily process of trading currencies is, without making it inaccessible. it also includes great tips on how to find a trading style and gives a good basis for technical analyses.

A great book to get yourself introduced to the FOREX market. It's written in very understandable way that makes people not familiar with any financial markets to understand it easily. If you are being interested in trading on FOREX, this book is definitely a great position to start with. The book alone will rather not prepare you well for trading, but will give you solid basic understanding of FOREX, allowing you to consume more advanced books much easier.

If you never forex traded before or if you are a semi trader, then you could buy this and learn a lot more. I use it as a reference book and helpful tips guide. After reading this you will be a more rounder trader.

Phenomenal book, I had a decent understanding of forex already, however this book has still helped a lot. Very easy to read and not a book that you need to read page by page. You can use it when you need crucial information or you are stuck on a topic. Could not be more happy with it.
