Didn't know I needed one until I did
So I have a overhead tripod with an articulating boom arm that supposedly can clamp onto most any desk etc. However, I found myself in a situation where there literally was nothing to clamp the clamp on. There was, however, a floor lamp that itself had an articulating arm. I was able to mount my camera (a Canon EOS T7) onto one of my clip clamps and clamp the clip onto the lamp's boom arm and, with some finagling, maneuver the camera into position for over head shots. I bought these clip clamps on a whim thinking that I couldn't think how I'd used them but they just looked useful and they certainly were! I would have had to pack up and go home and waste a day of photographing without them. I was surprised that these clip clamps worked for my DSLR as I expected to only use them as clamps or with lights, but they held my camera securely and worked fine.

Tight clamp, which is good, but the swivel head can be loose even with everthing tightened
Basically what I wrote in the headline; in my instance using these, even with everything tightened, rotating on the x axis can still be "slipped" and it continues to rotate even after tightening everything you have access to tighten. I suspect this is like a any-ballhead-mount problem, just making it known this happend to me, in case it's not. otherwise totally fine, and for my purposes, i did find a work around but it did take some extra thinking on a new angle because this part was a little faulty. Nothing major and still recommend these both for base station temp or long term mounting / azure kinect depth cameras etc.

Very strong clamp!
These are stronger than I expected. The ball lets you position your camera at any angle. I like how there's rubber on the clamps so you don't scratch the material you are clamping to.

If you don't want to put holes in the house siding, this is great alternative.
I really like this mount, I clip it to the gutter strap, and prevented me from having to use screws to mount my camera. So far works great, I have no issues with it. Easy to use.

Solid clip
works well, has a strong grip. If clipping to a monitor, you need to clip to the plastic frame of it. DO NOT CLIP TO THE MONITOR, you'll prolly break the screen after a bit.

One trick pony
Had to return item because I did not like that I was stuck with the one mount already on the clip. Would have been nice to be able to swap it out with my preferred mount

using this in kitchen - working very well
I had a need to monitor my oven temps when I cook/bake in the appliance. With this device, I am able to clamp on my temperature monitor (which has tripod mounting threads in the back of the unit) to the underside of the kitchen cabinet. It is installed right above the tabletop oven at eye level. the clamp portion is secure and grabs the cabinet's wood well.As a sidebar, I had no idea the setting on the oven was off by 50 degrees. The 425 degrees setting was registering 375 on this device. This clamp and the installed temp monitor configuration now allows me to get an accurate reading.
