Essential Cuisine Beef Stock Mix 800 g

it's taken me years but i finally need a new tub after many a tasty dish & meal. the price is remarkably similar now to then. i do wish the range was available in smaller measures as that way i could keep a few varieties to hand, i'm barely half way into the chicken one i bought at the same time as this one, both have made for great soup and meal bases.

Great stock mix, full of flavour and as it's powdered easy to use in small batches if needed.

This is orders of magnitude better than supermarket junk - it's made from real beef and tastes like it. However, it's a little saltier than I'd like so I have to be slightly careful to not over-season dishes that use it. This is by no means a dealbreaker but a point of caution. The flavour is robust, beefy and satisfying. Used for chillis, bolognaise etc, it can elevate dishes which would otherwise have been anaemic and shallow in flavour to the rich, hearty result we're all looking for. For the home cook, a tub can last a long time when used sparingly. I use mine constantly together with the same brand's chicken stock powder. I prefer the latter given a choice but this is still really, good stuff.

Very impressed with the quality of this stock. It lasts ages for home domestic cook. I particularly like the product as it is not salty. Unfortunately it now not available. Hoping it will return on website soon.

I like the taste and ease of use. As a domestic user would like to be able to buy a smaller size as I used to.

Really good stock, great natural beef flavours. A world apart from supermarket purchased stock cubes. Only knocked a star off as I would prefer slightly less salt. I refill a smaller tub as I go to minimise exposure to steamy kitchen air.
