Light, convenient, and – if you're careful – reusable
I have a rather odd use for these.I cook prepackaged food (e.g. ramen, mac & cheese) but only want to use 1/2 or 1/3 of the package at a time. So I want to measure out the correct portion of each ingredient packet and save the rest for later.I put a weigh boat on my scale, tare it to zero, then pour in the contents of the packet. This gives me the net weight. The boat makes it easy to pour the contents back into the packet (it easily 'folds' when you pinch opposite corners together). Then I just sprinkle some out again into the boat on the scale until I get to the weight I want to use. Then each batch is perfectly seasoned.At first I discarded each boat after use, because it stains pretty easily from some powdered ingredients. But then I just started rinsing, and they now last for many meals.

These worked better for What I needed versus a steel one that was too small
I didn’t think I wanted to go to the disposable route, but this is actually cheaper than the steel one that I bought and the steel one was way too small so I ended up getting these and they actually did a better job and after a while I just tossed the one when it gets beat up and get a new one out of the pile. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Weigh Boats, not just for the laboratory
I used weigh boats in the laboratory. Recently, I realized that they are convenient for use in the kitchen. They are good for holding dry ingredients in preparation for combining for a recipe.

Just what I needed
These little boats are perfect for what I needed and more. I use them to weigh out turmeric and pepper for supplement capsules that I fill myself (so much cheaper) but recently my grandson wanted to paint and this worked great as a little paint palette for his paints. I'm sure there are many uses for these and the fact that you can wipe and/or wash them out (gently) you really get a lot for the price. I would totally buy again but I have a feeling these will last me a while. Totally recommend!
