The least bulky and the best coccyx saver
I can't believe the price just drop from $65 to $50 in less than a week. Oh well. Save my wife's rear, and that's more than the $15 extra spent. Will get another one. Why?Save your coccyx from fracture, broken, or bruised:My wife is a long time fan of snowboarding, but not a fan at having her coccyx bruised, then fractured, and possibly broken (extremely hard to tell between hairline fracture to an inline broken coccyx). When her coccyx was bruised, it took nearly 4 months for the pain to subside. When her coccyx was fractured/broken, it took her nearly 3 years to heal and the pain to go away. Of course, even when it's healed, the pain may linger here and there due to the improper setting of the coccyx after it's fractured/broken. Not a pleasant thing. Continuing bruising will simply exacerbate the pains even further on any additional mishalf. After the past weekends, following after so many rear side impacts on the hard compacted slopes, I interviewed her on her experience with the Azzpadz. She happily smiled and thanked me for the much required protection it offered her without the massive bulkiness. Mind you, this is considered as a coccyx protector. Not a full rear protection (cheeks and thighs). If you have a small rear, then it will offer semi-full rear protection. When you have wide/large rear (size 6 pants and up for female), that's a no go.Save your wrists:Our instincts are to use our hands to cushion the fall. What happen to the stronger and more padded parts, like your butt cheeks and thighs? Coccyx is the primary issue. However, with the coccyx is protected, there is no longer an issue to land on your rear end, rather than your wrists. It doesn't mean you shouldn't be wearing your wrist pads just in case of that one odd fall.Hidden under your clothing better than the bulky padded shorts:Unless you want to look like you're hiding something for a full protection, this will be hidden quite nicely. My wife likes to wear her pants very tightly to her body parts. Adding this on, rather than having to get new pants, she simply unbottoned her pants to add an additional 1/2" size around her waist, and zip up.The straps stay in place:This fits me with huge quads, and size 36 waist, with a bit more to spare. It also fits my wife, with a size 6 pants, with smaller than average female quads. The straps around the legs and waist fit comfortably all day (10 hours day).
