KotobukiyaG.I. Joe A Real American Hero Scarlett Bishoujo Statue, Multicolor, One-Size

Kotobukyia's GI Joe Scarlett is a nice addition to any collector's showcase. My only gripe is that I wish it could've been just a bit bigger--yes, bigger usually means pricier--but just about another 1/2 to 1 inch and it would have been great for the price! Other than this little gripe, I'm pretty pleased with it.

[Original 3/5 star review:]This figurine is beautiful. She's thicc in all the right areas, I have no complaints about the statue design. The Paint job is another story.Do you see the pictures i posted? She's pretty flat with little to no shading. If you buy this figure she looks amazing when placed next to a light source. I took four pictures with flash on and you can see that she's very shiny and all her muscles and clothe creases POP out in amazing detail. Also her hair has amazing details that pop out.The next four pictures i took with her by the window on my bed. You'll see that her boots and gloves have gone completely flat since there is no shading on them, but you still get some detail in her body suit and hair. She looks duller though.The last four shots i took with her in the middle of the room on a wooden stool and you should be able to see what i mean about her being dull looking. She's not popping, Her colors are very dull and you can see the white highlights they added to her body suit.The part that really messes with me are those white highlights on the blue parts of her clothe. Its on her front left thigh, back right thigh and on her arm holding the gun. it kind of kills the color of the figure. I honestly thought they botched the paint job.The Box is horrible. It looks all messed up on the sides. The box looks like something out of good will. It took me awhile to realize that all those discolorations is just paint and they did this on purpose. Unfortunatly i don't think the person who shipped this to me knew that, as the actual box is all dinged up and the corners were pushed in. Like they thought it was an old toy and just tossed it around the warehouse before shipping it to me.If i had to buy this figure again i would, but not at $115. Its more of a $70 figure to me, but i love scarlet so i have no regrets. I wish they would have made her shinier. You'll see what i mean if you buy the figure.[Updated: 5/5 star review]So i asked around the web about if i recieved a bad figure. Turns out i did. I requested an exchange from amazon and recieved my new figure on sept.12. It's beautiful. the Blues are a deep blue, the Yellow vest is a beautiful yellow and she shines even under low light conditions.This character really pops out. The new figure i recieved is worth $115 no questions asked.In the pictures I updated you can see why i originally posted that the colors were dull. They gave the figure this white highlight, but added too much which made the figure look dull and ugly. My new figure barely has any of these highlights and shines like a new car. Even the box from the new figure is immaculate with no dents or dings in it.Amazon really came through for me. I'm glad with my purchase and updated my 3 star review into a 5 star.

I'm thinking the kotobukiya statues don't get much better than this. Paint as great, good weight, feels sturdy, and of course the sculpt is very nice .. Quite a bit of character

What a great statue! I am a long time GI Joe fan and Scarlett is one of my favorite JOE characters. This statue nails the essence of the classic Scarlett we all remember. I am also a fan of the Bishoujo statue line. I think sometimes they nail it and sometimes they do OK. i think with this statue they really outdid themselves. What a great purchase!!!

I’ve been a fan of GI Joe since I was a kid and was stoked to see these new statues coming from Kotobukiya. The detail is beautiful and the anime-styled redesign is very cute.
