Big Hero 6 Edible Image Cake Topper (8" Round)

Yesterday (Monday, Sept. 7), was my child's big day. Imagine, a houseful of kids, everyone having a great time, cake is baked & frosted, ready for the image, and there's a snag..the image will NOT release from the backing. As per the instructions, I put it in the freezer. Check again in 2 minutes...still won't release. Back in freezer for 5 minutes longer. Still won't release! Grr!For an additional 30 minutes, in the freezer it goes, and I cross my fingers.(Sigh)....Image never released. I ended up serving a plain frosted cake to a VERY disappointed birthday party and an even more disappointed birthday girl.I'm no novice. Though this was my first purchase from this merchant (and the last, obviously), this is approximately the 10th time I've used edible cake images...all, until now, without any problems.I can't say I'm done with edible cake images, though with 100% certainty, I can guarantee I'll not be acquiring them from this seller.

The item arrived on time. But I couldn't peel the image from the paper. I put it in the in the freezer for a few mins as suggested and it still didn't peel without cracking and then I rolled it as also suggested-wouldn't peel, so I ended up just cutting the image out and placed it on the cake with the backing on it; and removed it before cutting the cake. The colors on the image were very vivid and colorful.

I was a little nervous about getting this cake decal. But now I am so glad I purchased this decal for my son's party. One of the reviews I read said they took the decal to their local Costco. I went to my local BJ Warehouse and loved the final product. Needless to say, my son was thrilled about his Big Hero 6 birthday cake.I have provided a picture of the cake. Cake topper arrived and looked like it was printed on a very old inkjet printer. Where it was supposed to be red it was orange, blacks were blue, and there were streaks throughout the cake topper due to poor print quality. Don't set yourself up for disappointment like I did.

This was perfect for my kids' party! The print was clear and colorful. I took it to Costco and they put it on the cake I purchased from them, then I bought some mini figurines (Also on Amazon) to fill in the blank space. It looked awesome.

Great product. The image turned out perfect. Added a very special touch to a store bought cake.
