this unit does not do pythagorean calculations, or any. this unit claims it does all of the following* turn on/off unit* calibrate and run through initial setup* switch from distance at muzzle of laser to back of unit* switch from ft, in, m* pythagorean mode for area/volume calculationsall with a single button. amazingly it actually does do the first 4, but not the 5th. not sure how, with just a single button, it thinks it can do it all. of the features it can do with a single button, it is not obvious how and makes it hard to use. these should have separate buttons so you're not guessing how to use it.pythagorean mode is nowhere in the instruction manual that comes with it. I bought this to make area estimates of homes. it simply cannot do.

I purchased this laser measurer to quickly get the square footage of rooms and take rough measurements. This laser measurer lets you change between feet, inches etc. It also lets you measure from the back or the front of the unit (i.e. If you put it against a wall you can include the length of the laser tool in the measurement). I do like that it is rechargeable and small and fits in your pocket.I will note it's not accurate below an inch so if you are thinking to get it to measure something and be able to make cuts off of it etc then this is not the tool for you.

It's not +-1mm accuracy, it's +-2mm like all the rest, not sure why it was mismarked. It works fine, though. Not very powerful so don't expect to compete with sunlight.

This small laser tape measure is easy to use and read, bright laser dot to select the other point and press the button. I compared my measurements on a few items with an actual tape measure and the measurements were identical. This will help in measuring room square footage and larger areas where a tape measure is too short or you don't have a helper.

This device appears to be accurate as described by manufacturer. I like that it can measure the distance from the tail or the top of unit. Being able to get a more precise measurement from the tail of device came in handy when I was trying to measure the inside width of my computer hutch. It can take 3 measurements at one time too. I had to read the directions a couple times to understand what they meant by the top/tail measurements but overall it was pretty easy to use once you understood the button control since it is only 1 button operated.

I've always disliked dealing with tape measures, fighting with it grabbing on side of wall, not having it roll back up cleanly, annoying sounds, etc. This very small, very light, super simple to use, and just slightly more expensive then a very nice tape measure makes this tool a must have in anyone's tool box. Easy to charge, press the button and viola, you have a very accurate distance with the laser. I've tested it a few times with a tape measure and find it accurate. I very much love having this tool!

This is an easy to use, one button laser measure with over one hundred + feet of measuring ability. The slim design makes carrying and use effortless and so far is very accurate. It charges quickly and remains charged for a LONG time.
