First off this isn't a cheap made in china holster nor a compatible holster, meaning it wasn't made to be flexible to service sidearms of similar style. This is an Israeli-made custom holster (My sidearm is an S&W 9mm compact 4"). I purchased the LVL 1 holster and my sidearm slid in and securely locked into place. I am confident that if I needed to run while my sidearm was holstered it would stay secure. being a level 1 holder means I can draw my weapon without pressing a release button, but they make a level 2 if you prefer or require the added security. These are also made for the professional and are used by law enforcement. As a matter of fact, once I purchased mine and saw what it looked like I was in a meeting where LEOs were present and noticed they were using the same rig. I also ordered the leg holster because it is my preferred method of carrying when I am in the woods and concealed carry isn't needed. I ordered this style because my past experience with holsters was horrible. They were either uncomfortable, awkward, or hindering and I wanted something that carried a little lower. After trying the paddle-style I have been using it mostly because it is comfortable and can slip on and off without taking off my belt. This style requires a stiff belt. it allows me to carry not so much concealed but my sidearm is a little bit lower on my hip. This is fine for me because that is what I was looking for. I would recommend these to everyone!! Review: Well built - First and foremost. I bought this knowing that it is for an M&P while I have a SW9VE, they are roughly the same size so I was hoping for the best. The construction on this thing is pretty nice, it is way more comfortable than I thought it would be; the adjustable tension is great to get a firm draw without the pistol trying to pull the holster up with it. Unfortunately the trigger guard on the SW9VE is pretty thick toward the front and it wouldn't "click" into place (i.e. you could force it out of the holster without pressing the release), I was able to disassemble it though and use a dremel to adjust the piece that grabs onto the trigger guard and now there is a nice reassuring click the moment it is holstered and it cannot be removed without pressing the release. All of that being said this does fit the SW9VE pretty well (except for the minor adjustment needed) and after disassembling it and reassembling it I have to say that this is one of the most well designed and well built holsters in this price range. It fits the shield 9 just fine. The barrel stays tucked inside the holster a bit and doesn't extend out past. I would definitely buy it again though I don't think I'll need to. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ excellent product, would buy again *by D***R on August 28, 2018* This fits my 5" barrel 9mm just fine. I bought the holster with the paddle belt clip and the thumb release. It holds the weapon just fine. The tension with which the weapon is held is adjustable and I can dial it to whatever I want with the screw and included allen key. A small amount of adjustment does lead to a large change in tension, but it does allow for excellent adjustment and I'm confident the weapon won't fall out. I'd be quite confident that no one could snatch the weapon from the holster without knowing exactly what they're doing, and the system would survive any attempt to do so unscathed. The thumb release does dig into my side just above my pant line (no love handles to speak of either) and will gave me a blister if I wear it for any length of time without the weight of the weapon in the holster, but that problem goes away once the weapon is holstered. I would be somewhat reluctant to recommend that model to anyone who has love handles and recommend they get the low ride model instead just in case. For the price it's really hard to beat this. The weapon fits perfectly and the material it's made out of is absolutely bombproof plastic. The angle of the weapon can be adjusted easily with the included allen key.
