This jacket is not as large as the reviews are making out, I ordered a Large and am a 42" chest, it fits perfectly and with plenty of room for a big thick jumper under it, I doubt very much if a jumper will be needed though as it's realy realy warm, the outer pockets are all fleece lined as is the hood, I would think that this coat will be good for -10c or even lower as it's so well padded.Couldn't comment on the waterproof capabilitys but the material looks as though it will be well capable of handling some rain.Amendment >I know it's realy not cold enough to wear this coat yet but as it was chucking it down (and I mean bouncing) I decided to go for a walk in it and it rained all the time on a 3 mile walk, not a bit of rain got through it, but I was boiling hot in it ha ha.It's a realy well made and nice looking coat and I can't wait until is pours down in the cold weather as I am looking forward to wearing it.The delivery was amazing considering it has to be shipped from Germany, I ordered it on Sunday and on Monday I was advised that the supplier has shipped it out, on Tuesday I had notification that it had arrived in the UK and on Tuesday night I had advanced delivery notice that it should be delivered on Wednesday and then received another notification that it would be delivered on Wednesday between 11:00 and 12:00 and it arrived at 11:30, blooming amazing.

Ok, I am taking a risk here, reviewing this item without wearing it outside. However, it has just arrived and appears well made. Having read the reviews thoroughly, being a slim but not skinny build with a modest 40/41" chest, I ordered a "small". Now bear in mind that there are millions of blokes in Britain my size and we normally buy "medium" in shirts and coats, occasionally "large", if the item is Asian size. Well I got it right this time and got "small", which fits very well over a shirt, with plenty of room for a jumper too. You could even fit a thick jumper under this coat but frankly you may not need to because it does seem very warm, especially the cosy hood which is NON-removable, btw. I look forward to the next cold snap to really test it out. Lots of pockets and looks smart too. So remember, slim guys, this coat is very roomy, so if you're my size order "small". Hope this helps.

This coat is of the best possible quality imaginable. It has a wealth of features - too many in-fact - you could get a week's shopping in all the pockets and not notice they were full! It's totally waterproof and very warm - too warm really for the kind of weather we are now getting in the UK because of global warming. It's very generously sized too and I would definitely go along with other reviewers when they advise going down a size.Its only let down is the silly detachable fur around the hood. If you want to tighten the cords to close the hood, because the fur is detachable, it just loops up and leaves big gaps. It would have been better to attach the fur to the actual hood but I suppose it's been made to remove for washing purposes as I don't think the fur would fare well for being bashed around in the washer with the rest of the coat!PS: I liked my husband's coat so much I bought a second one for myself thinking that a small men's would fit a woman's size 10 - it didn't! It was absolutely massive and I had to send it back. Unfortunately I was charged £6.00 for sending it back and it was taken off my refund so beware if you are buying one of these coats. Do size down because, believe me, they are really big!

I purchased this coat for my dad after he tried the one I have owned for 5 years and fell in love with it.Yes it is a heavy coat while holding it, but once it’s being worn it doesn’t feel any heavier than any other coat I own. The quality is outstanding, very warm... I find I cannot wear anything more than a T-shirt under it if I am doing any sort of walking around because I have to undo the zip to let some of the heat out. It’s waterproof and totally wind proof. There are a lot of pockets in this coat, more than your average coat, the only negative point I find is I remembering which pocket I have put something in.I would highly recommend this coat to anyone, 5 years of ownership and many more years of life left in it.

Plus:it is totally waterproof and also warm.Minus:way too heavy, I mean really heavy. Bad materials or design.The outside pockets got ripped after a couple of months.It is really buggy as well. You can wear an extra layer inside if you need to.

Amazing quality for the price (£88). I was looking at a similar jacket by North Face priced at around £250 but I'm so glad I took a chance on this. Was almost a bit put off by reviews talking about sizing issues but it's perfect. I'm 6ft and pretty broad, ordered an XL and it's a great fit. Room enough to wear a jumper or hoody but warm enough I usually just have on a t shirt. Keeps out extreme cold, wind and rain. If it's a mild day it might get a bit sweaty walking around in it. Can't fault it at all on function and it's a good looking jacket as well with lots of nice details on closer inspection. Delivery was also a few days sooner than expected which was a bonus. Highly recommended.

Perfect fit for me (I am XL on most things and this was fine). The jacket has loads of zip pockets inside and out, great hood with fur collar. It’s heavy to pick up but not a problem when you’re wearing it. Went to a fireworks night wearing it and it was unbelievably warm, even though it was cold and rainy.

Schöne, schwere, warme Jacke in sehr guter Qualität. Habe schon Komplimente dafür bekommen. Viele Taschen innen und außen.

Je l ai commender pour mon fils il est un peu grand mais il a aimé donc il le garde .Il taille un peu au dessus de la norme.Mon fils a 13 ans pour 165cm et 70 kilo le m est grand.

Il prodotto e molto bello, caldo, e rifinito bene per il prezzo che ha. Ho letto prima di prenderlo tutte le recensioni e visto che sono alto 1.70 e peso 75kg ho preso la taglia S. Perfetto.

J'ai acheté cette veste pour un voyage dans un Pays d'Europe ou il faisait -18°C avec vent et neige. A aucun moment je n'ai ressenti le froid. La veste est lourde, la matière est dense et protège parfaitement du froid, neige, pluie ou vent. Pas besoin de mettre plus qu'un pull léger sinon on a trop chaud. Elle taille grand et reste un peu rigide au début le temps de la porter. Pour moi la taille XL (1m80 +90kg) est OK, confortable. Elle est pratique, de qualité et vaut largement son prix.
