These shears do work, however, they’re really tight and difficult to cut with. After one or two cuts, I have to give my hand a rest. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and that’s the case with these. I’d advise getting a higher quality pair if you think you’ll be using them a lot.<Edited on Sept 25> After leaving the two star review and comments above, I received an email from the seller telling me that it must have been just been a mistake on the pair I received and that they issued me a refund. While I appreciate they attempted to make the situation better, they also asked me to change my review to a full five-star review. This request really bothered me because I just don't think that it is ethical to try to buy five-star reviews. Honest reviews - good and bad - are necessary for folks to make the right decision when buying online. As such, I'm leaving my review as two stars.

These shears did exactly what I needed. Cheapest I could find by far! Cheapest I found at other stores were 15 then 30. I had never used pinking shears before. I needed to cut around letters and numbers I sewed for my son and these did the job. They cut through three layers of fabric with ease. Layers I used were cotton or snuggle fabric, interface, and fleece. They do hurt your wrist a little but not too bad. I was able to continuously cut out 26 letters and 10 numbers with only a little bit of pain. They leave the cut zigzagged which gives a nice look.

These pinking shears had great reviews, so for the cheap price I was excited to buy a pair. When I got them I immediately tried them out on quilting cotton and they gripped the material and the shears locked up around the fabric. It was hard to open them back up. When I did they only pulled and bunched up the fabric. They didn't cut at all. I tried on heavier and thinner fabric and still didn't cut. There are either a bunch of false reviews on this product or else I just got a super dull pair. I immediately called Amazon Customer Service and returned them. I usually make sure I buy products through Amazon's Fulfillment Center and returns are hassle free.

These are the BEST pinking shears I've ever used! I wasn't expecting much for this low price..........so I was DELIGHTED at the quality and functionality of these shears! First thing I did was to cut through 4 layers of fabric.......and was impressed with the sharpness of the blades, and ease of the cut. The shears are not too heavy.......like my old fashioned ones were.......but a nice weight, and the handles are gentle to the hands. I'm going to purchase another pair for myself, and a pair for my sewing "buddy." I love these pinks!!!

I could not be happier with this purchase. These scissors are not heavy or clunky at all. They are sharp enough to cut through the cheap crafting felt, like butter, which anyone that works with felt knows that cleanly cutting through the cheap crafters felt with anything other that the sharpest of scissors is like a fiber nightmare. If it cuts through that, it will be a piece of cake on my quilters' cotton. (Trimming the edges of quilters' cotton with a pinking shears prevents fraying). It shipped on time as promised. I would be happy to recommend these shears from this shipper. No problems there and extremely satisfied with the quality and the price!

I don't know where all the good reviews came from, what I received is a used pair of very cheap shears that don't cut. There was finger marks, scuff marks and scratches all over the product and the box that I received TODAY! They do not cut all the way thru and fray the edges as they cut! Doesn't that defeat the purpose of wanting your cloth NOT to fray??? Also, product IS from China... Just sayin'... :-/

They cost half as much as a good pair of shears so they only work half as well. I can only cut with 2/3 of the shears. Once I reach the tip they do not cut. I should have bought the more expensive ones. Ah, well.

This is a strong and sturdy scissor. I was not into the plastic handle but hell, this is so easy and fun to use. I cut cardboard with it, even tried it on my hair but it doesn't come out with cool little triangles, which I doubted anyway, but I needed to chop a bunch of hair off and this was a fun way to do that. I'm glad I got this one. Puts an instantly nice finish on things
