Tea at Fortnum & Mason Kindle Edition

I love how this recipe book came out from Fortnum & Mason, a prestigeous and well-known tea purveyor and also host afternoon tea parties in England. They feature recipes, if you want to do a Tea Party for an afternoon gathering for a book club, new products review club and other social gathering events. Some of their famous selections are here like their basic shortbread, watercress tea sandwiches and other staples you find in an Afternoon Tea Party. Just an awesome recipe book filled with pictures and easy to follow recipes.

I was looking through this book at fortnum and Mason in London and decided it was worth buying, just not for £30. I used their free WiFi to look on Amazon and bought it used for about $18. It's a nice classic British book with a lot of stories You can actually 'read'this cookbook in addition to just following recipies. I've made the classic scone recipe a few times and they are pretty tasty and simple.

I collect tea books, and this is my favorite. A brief history and explanation of tea is followed by authentic recipes for tea- time. Fortnum and Mason, one of my favorite places to visit for tea in London, has generously shared some of their delicious recipes in this book. Perhaps if you go to London, you will visit one of their sites. They are a three hundred year old grocery that supplies the Queen. The clerks wear tails, and the doorman has a top hat. There is a wonderful tea salon there. Having this book will help me recreate one of my best tea experiences in London!

A small, elegant book with beautiful color photos and great recipes. Endorsed by the Chairman of Fortnum & Mason, it would make a very tasteful gift with a tin of F&M's beautifully packaged tea. Williams-Sonoma has the lowest online prices for that.The hardcover book lists at $19.99. I bought a Like New copy on Amazon Marketplace for $9.94 Total.

That's the Kindle version cover (not the same as on the book), some illustrations, but when you get to the recipes in the Kindle book you're flying blind, and would be hard pressed to recreate them from the descriptions alone in some cases. Quite disappointing that they chose to cheap out for the Kindle version, right down to the cheap no one cares cover image for it. I wouldn't have bought it had I known.In the description where you can click to see images of the book, keep in mind those AREN'T in the Kindle version. Not one recipe has an image in the Kindle book.I returned the Kindle book for a refund and will buy the hard copy book.I hate when they do this. They shouldn't be allowed to do this and sell on Amazon.

I had just been to London for my first and probably only time and was completely unaware of Fortnum & Mason up until walking into the duty-free shop in Heathrow airport. There I found their products and some rose biscuits that were to-die-for. Wanting to reproduce them (since shipping from there would unfortunately be rather extravagant), stumbled upon this book with a key recipe. Multiple recipes look absolutely scrumptious and I'm looking forward to trying them. The book is not just recipes, in the beginning there is actually a history of tea that is a pretty interesting read! Nice illustrations and photos in this book - it's well put together. Nice little book that would make a cute gift for anyone enthusiastic about tea.

This is a beautiful little book; a nice addition to any tea book collection. There are some wonderful recipes here, and nice photographs. Fortnum & Mason Royal Blend is my favorite English tea blend; however, it doesn't seem to be available in the U.S. Perhaps for that reason, the recipes in this book measure the ingredients in grams; no ounces or cups. Baking temperatures are given in degrees Fahrenheit (as well as C and gas mark). Although small, this is a quality book that most tea lovers would enjoy.

I was disappointed when I received this book as it is very small, the printing inside is small, and the book overall is not as nice as I was hoping. I had ordered this as a gift, but was too embarrassed at the quality so I kept it for myself as returning is too much of a hassle. This will probably collect dust on my bookshelf until I take it to a thrift shop.

This is an amazing book with details of traditional recipes and dishes treasured by the exquisite taste. Those who have the pleasure to sample some signature dishes at Fortum and Mason or the HK 181 restaurant would particularly be appreciative of the complicated steps and procedures in preparing these dishes. Insightful, delightful and heart-warming.

Amazing quality, value for money and like new. This cannot have been looked at even. Gorgeous recipes good enough to give as a gift along with the Honey F&M yellow book. Having ordered one set for myself, I then went on to order three more of each to give as gifts at Christmas. Purchased for 1p per book used. OK the postage was £2.80 but just remarkable. Swift delivery, well packaged.

A nice blend (geddit?) of history and recipes. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to trying some of the recipes which look inspiring and vaguely doable.
