Powerful replacement for current OEM Subaru Outback battery
Contrary to Amazon's advice, this group 25 battery DOES properly fit my 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited, including fitting properly within the original battery jacket and using the original hold down bolts. In my opinion, that makes it preferable to the group 34 batteries some others have used as a more powerful replacement for the wimpy OEM battery. After the third time I had to use a trickle charger overnight in the first six months here in Southern CA, I checked the Subaru Outback forum and discovered this is a common problem, and the best solution is a stronger battery. Of the ones recommended there, this was among the strongest, and an exact fit for the original battery. To install the new battery without losing any memory settings, I also used a Schumacher (OBD-L) OBDII Memory Saver Detector to run power from my son's car to mine while swapping the new battery in place. Doing so was a breeze, thanks to the built-in handle, and safe, thanks to the included easy-on easy-off post covers. In the course of my research, I also decided to add a NOCO Genius Boost Plus GB40 1000 Amp 12V UltraSafe Lithium Jump Starter, in case anyone leaves an overhead light on overnight again. The jump starter doesn't need a second car, fits easily in the front compartment between the driver and passenger, and also serves as a flashlight and a way to recharge up to two USB devices at once.Definitely recommended, especially where it gets cold or the car has to be left alone for more than a couple of days.

works great in my 2018 outback r3.6
perfect fit in our 2018 outback 3.6r, used all existing covers & brackets, no modifications needed.I don't know the longevity - I will not be pleased if it does not last due to the price.as for the value for the money, I can't rate for that has to do with the life.it seems to be well constructed, has a handle, it weights over 50lbs so that makes it easy to pop in.this is certainly the most expensive battery I"ve ever bought!!, but the car has so many electronics it may be needed tokeep the car reliable.I've never had car battery problems in all our other cars... I think car just came with an inadequate battery.i found out about this new battery from car owners club.i will be posting how this battery works out for us.

Fit Perfectly
Fit perfectly. About 20 Lbs. heavier than the OEM battery. The car never turned over well one day one when we bought it. Very happy. I expect it to last a very long time. That built in handle really helps as this is a monster in weight but great performance. The actual battery is rectangular and not the shape pictured for the group 25

3 volts in September after just purchasing June 2020.
Started having battery issues. Found that the relatively new battery only had 3 volts. It would charge while driving but would then have 3 volts. Not sure if Odyssey will warrant it. I will call Odyssey today. THis was a $300 battery

Very long shelf life. Fantistac deep cycle ability.
I purchased this for my 1954 Chevy truck because it can sit around quit awhile before being used. Did not want to keep purchasing regular off the shelf batteries that die in 1 to 2 years. For my money you cant beat the power, longevity and extremely well built case.

If You Have a 2016 Subaru Outback Limited With All The Options, You Need Something Like This.
Minnesota in the winter where the temperature gets down to -27 F. (and that's in Southern Minnesota); so the factory installed 350 Cold Cranking Amp battery is not enough to handle all the parasitic drain from the electronics which continue to draw power, even with the ignition turned off. (E.g., anti-theft alarm, keyless door lock sensors, GPS for Starlight monitoring system, etc.)Add to that a 70 year-old woman who never drives over 35 mph, and short trips (1-6 miles, 2 or 3 times a week), and the dealer talking you out of an engine block heater; then you need this!Subaru won't install more powerful battery, so I bought this.

Not worth $300
Don't know why I let myself get duped. Its a 850CC battery, so is the Walmart Maxx, Group 25, for $100.So this thing better last 3x as long, otherwise, I could have just bought 3 Walmart ones.UPDATE: 9-7-20; battery dead, won't hold charge, can't run w/o a jump. Replaced w/Walmart battery, car running fine. Total BS on 3-YR warranty, didn't even make it to 2yrs; got it 11/2018. Dropping from 4 to 2 stars. Not worth it.

Good hefty battery for Subaru Outback '15
Direct fit for Outback '15 - the factory battery hold down clamp fits well too. The battery is very heavy at 50 lbs. The car starts up very strong. Outback factory battery is terribly weak.
