BEWARE of this seller!! The connecting pieces on these gas struts have plastic threads. The threads stripped out on one of mine within two months. Typically, struts should last for years. BOXI sent me apologies and originally told me they would refund my money if I sent them a photo of what went wrong. I sent them photos two times and all they did was apologize. NEVER buy from BOXI!

This installation was so simple. I’ll admit, I found a YouTube video to show me how to do it. The old set was so worn out that the lid would drop and was concerned that some one might get injured. Now the new struts are like a new trunk lid was fixed. It’s actually a little tight but like a new car. You’ll likely save quite a few bucks in the process. I’m a DYer so this was an easy one.

Ordered the trunk struts on Tuesday .. delivered on Wed. Took about 5 minutes to install them and they work great! The old ones were worn out, and when the lid fell on my arm Monday, decided it was time to replace them. Before I ordered them I watched a video on U-Tube. So simple. Thank you, thank you!

Product is made of cheap plastic. Both ends snapped off trying to install them. I superglue the ends back on and reinstalled them

Installed in just a few minutes - popped right on - only needed a small blade screwdriver to pry the retainingclips off of the old lift supports for removal
