Spancraft Glass Rectangle Beveled Mirror, 18" x 40"

Mirror received well packaged and looking as expected except as follows:1. Two screw retainers had no shoulder when pressed into the wall. I wasn't sure how to use them. I substituted shouldered retainers. I was worried that when I screwed into them or located the mirror they might slip through the wall. Instructions would have been great.2. Since you need to use only 2 of the three holding brackets I was unsure exactly how to treat the unused bracket. I removed it and used used the two double backed spacer at the base of the mirror. Didn't work out to well because the thickness was to little and they did't hold. Mirror is just dangling. Should I have left the bracket in place and stacked the two provided double backed spacers? Again, instructions would have helped.

I wanted a beveled edge mirror and this one is QUALITY. I get a full view and it is super solid and well made. I had help hanging mine and the included hardware is awesome.

I put this mirror in a bedroom. it's pretty heavy so the mounting hardware on the back did not inspire confidence that it would be sufficient. It's basically two metal patches adhered to the back of the mirror with cut-outs for where the nail slides in. It takes two people to hold the mirror and get the nails into the cut-outs. Be sure to use the anchor bolts if the nail is not going into wood.

Before I bought this, there were two other reviews on the product. Neither were positive, so I hesitated to purchase. I am very happy I read the reviews closely, as neither really applied to my use: simply hanging the mirror and making the space more open and beautiful. This mirror does exactly that.Since it's relatively large, it is also quite heavy. Therefore, once I installed the two mounting screws, it took some effort for me to muscle the mirror into place and align the mounts to the screws. It probably would have been easier with two people or if the installation wasn't in a tight spot. Regardless, geometry and physics won, and now I get to smile at myself in this beautiful mirror, thinking how happy I am that I went ahead and purchased it...

This mirrors looked ok and appear as promised. However, the mounting hardware was weak, in my opinion for such a heavy item. I installed all the mirrors (we bought 7) for our bathrooms. I actually used stronger drywall anchors than they supplied but was still really nervous about such big mirrors having one failure point, with no backup. If one of the screws/anchors/brackets failed the heavy mirror could come crashing down on the bathroom faucet, shatter at waist level and you can imagine the rest.Secondly, the brackets were only attached on the back with factory adhesive and there was no way to add any additional support, short of welding. If one of those brackets* failed the whole mirror would come crashing... (I already painted that scenario).Brackets aren't mounted evenly on back of mirror and were as much as 1/4" off. This means that when mounting you have to individually measure and offset for each mirror; if you assume the brackets are "level" and mount the mirror you will be mistaken because mirror may be off-level. For example, from top edge of mirror to mount point (opening) of left bracket might be 5 1/8". Whereas the same measurement for right bracket might be 5 3/8".After 10 days of having them on the walls (with guests and children in the house) I removed them all and will basically throw them away. I didn't save packing materials and too much trouble to return.We are purchasing another product that has French cleats or at least a solid core backing so that these heavy mirrors are not potentially lethal weapons. I blame myself for not reading and not investigating how these mirrors attach to the wall; I should have considered the weight and possible consequences if one fell before purchasing the mirrors.

Arrived quickly and intact. It a replacement for an old vanity. Best fit we could find and daughter is happy

I put this horizontally along one wall of a small bathroom and it makes it look a lot bigger and brighter. I also like that it has beveled edges, which give it an expensive, finished look.

Really great mirror! Took a star off because it came with a tiny scrath. Other than that really great quality.
