RZ MaskM1 Face Masks for Woodworking, Home Improvement, and DIY Projects

i live and work in the California Mohave Desert, where we have seasonal dust storms and year round high wind events. I bought this for keeping in my pocket while at work, works very well at keeping the dust and dirt out of my lungs when I need to go out side during a storm event. I know this isnt ment for chemical use, but I have found it useful also for when I need to put chlorine in the pool, and this mask is a lot easier to use for quick jobs than the heavy resperator we keep on hand.One of the things I like most is the washability of this mask, so if I forget it in my pocket at wash, it will be fine.I have also found this mask useful and comfortable to wear under my facesheild when doing moderate grinding and cutting, have also used this while operating a weed-eater. I know this mask is more for bike riding, but have found it to be so much more flexible than just for the trail. I would also recomend this mask for hiking, as well as for serious yard work.

I use this mask when cutting plywood and particle board. Great fit and comfort. I have other masks, but his became my go-to mask. Protect your lungs when woodworking.

The mask is super easy to put on and take off and VERY comfortable. A little small, but it comes with an extension piece that makes up for it (hopefully this will hold up). The size is the only thing that made me give four stars out of five, and if the extension piece hold up to use, then I will feel guilty about only four stars. The ease to replace the filters is also a huge plus. In addition, the filter life is solid I use this mask for woodworking and it: 1. Does not fog my safety glasses; 2. It does not have awkward straps that get in the way of ear protection, and 3. Is super comfortable so avoids being a distraction when working.

So, I picked another mask up due to doing a lot of lawn care work on the side. Then saw this one and liked how much easier putting it on and taking it off would be. Also appeared to have easier air flow. I am technically asthmatic. The past 10 years I haven't even really thought about it. However, due to the large amount of exposure to irritants I have had issues with asthma that I haven't experienced in the better part of two decades. I used this mask over the weekend and it was awesome. I was working in ~90° heat all day Friday and Saturday. The key is to not take rapid shallower breaths as you are more naturally inclined to do when you exert yourself. This mask was even better than the first one I got. Still need to make sure you take long, somewhat slow, and deep as possible breaths. If you do, you will feel just fine. Takes a few minutes to adjust to the different breathing needed for any type of "respirator" you are using.At this point after the weekend I had, I would be hammering my rescue inhaler and still be fairly right in the chest. However, after the use of the two different RZ masks, it's like I sat inside and did nothing special all weekend. This particular style is absolutely the way to go. It has great airflow and is an absolute breeze to put on and take off!

The mask is comfortable and can be worn for extended periods. I use one in my wood shop and I have one for mowing the grass. A good product. Get the right size for optimum used.

I got one of these about ten years ago when I worked construction. very comfortable, doesn't fog your glasses, doesn't make your face sweat like paper mask's do. I finally wore it out so buying a replacement was a no brainer.

Works well but slips down back side of head which makes nose piece tight. Maybe because I’m bald it slips down but I’m not sure had to test with hair because I have none. Bought another that has slits to go over the ears and around the neck. No more slipping down. Works well other than that!

This Dust mask is made of a soft material that is very comfortable to wear for extended times. In addition to mask, it also comes with an extra filter and extension piece for a larger neck size. All in all a good buy.
