Excellent to understand the guitar fretboard
Incredible tool for guitarists. Exactly what I was looking for to understand the patterns and how everything is interconnected...I wish there were two sizes, one larger one and this size but this is perfect for general use. Excellent readability and Ease of Instructions. Could include more video instructions as apart of the training :) on how to use it. Very intelligent and thank you for creating a wonderful product!

This is a great learning tool.
I really like this ruler because it presents all the shapes in one place and in a compact, easy to carry form. I will say that the small form factor does make it a little hard to read the notes from more than a foot or so away. The shapes are very clear and easy to see though. The instructions that come with it are brief and require a little more knowledge of music terminology to fully understand. But using the ruler could not be easier. The ruler seems well made. There is a website that does not have much content yet but the maker says more will be added.

It all makes sense now
I love this device. What minimal music theory I learned was always demonstrated on a piano - but I play guitar. I fundamentally understood majors and minors and kind of grasped 3rds, 5ths, and 7ths, but it never all fit together before. THIS has been the tool that I needed to help my brain make all the connections. Now, the CAGED positions, as well as the Triad exercises, pentatonic scales, and diatonic scales - shoot, this even fits in the blue notes! I don't know how to describe it, but before, each thing I learned stayed isolated in my brain. Now, it all fits together, and it is making me a much better guitarist! The compact size is actually great. But (being old enough to have actually used a mathematical sliding ruler in grade school) my old eyes would love to get one at 1.5 times the size. Heck, to be fair, I guess I'd pay 1.5 times the price. lol. I love this tool!

A bit complicated...
It's a quality slide chart, but the instruction that comes with it are hyper confusing. Most pros have this stuff in their head already, but if you are struggling to learn the modes and CAGED system this would be better if the explanation of it's use were a bit most simplified.

Ingenious Device for Learning Pentatonic Guitar Scales
One of my goals is to learn major and minor pentatonic guitar scales to be able to jam with others. I have seen many SEPARATE diagrams for scales, but having multiple pages is unwieldy, or too small if multiple diagrams are on one page. This solves learning maj and min pentatonic scales for me. Very ingenious and a good value in my opinion. The accompanying instruction sheet was very helpful as well. I haven’t seen scale positions identified like this in any of my online instruction searches before. NOW I get it, thanks to this handy device. If you are learning guitar, specifically scales, I would definitely check this out; worth way more than a fancy coffee at a coffee shop for me.

Pleasantly surprised
I was pleasantly surprised by how effective this little tool is. It is borderline ingenious. I just started playing guitar a few months ago. However, I have a solid understanding of music theory from playing piano for years. I think this tool is best for someone with foundational knowledge in music theory. I think understanding these concepts at a baseline will make the tool more useful: 1) intervals (how to build pentatonic scales, how to build major/minor scales) 2) basic chord shapes (C, A, G, E, D) - check out some YouTube videos on the "CAGED" system because the positions identified on the tool follow this system. 3) not absolutely necessary but I think having a basic grasp of modes (Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, etc.) can also be useful because the modes are listed at the bottom of the tool. There is probably some benefit of this tool for every level of guitarist (beginner, intermediate, and potentially even advanced). I understand the complaints that the font is small. I also get that it may seem a bit pricey. I have had it for a little over a week and I've already studied it for 2-3 hours, so I know it is going to be worth it. I would love to see a plastic version of this with a snapping mechanism as you slide from key to key.
