Great ladle. I was worried about splitting when purchasing this after reading other reviews but I haven’t had any issues. I don’t use it super often and am careful to not let it soak whenever I do use it, so as not to let the wood swell and cause damage. It’s held up well and still looks like the day I got it. It’s thick and sturdy without being bulky. I’m happy to not be putting more microplastics in my families food when I use it.

Wooden ladles are very over looked, this was great and is still my favorite. I switched over to wooden non glue non plastic tools because my friend I cook for had signs of gi issues and it was really concerning . I got rid of Teflon- plastic garbage and even plastic cups too and Tupperware. His issues improved greatly and the blood ceased. I know money is tight rn but dying early sucks more so get your plastic in the trash and make the switch - your body will thank you

Yeah, we all have pretty much already heard about the black plastic kitchen utensils being kicked to the wayside due to all the chemicals in them. This has been showing up more and more in the news recently. For a while now, I have been replacing those cheap and horrid black plastic utensils with products from FAAY. I would have to go back through my purchase history to give an exact number, but I have already ordered numerous items from this company. These teak utensils are very durable when used appropriately in normal cooking. I have yet to have one chip or break. One thing to get used to is NOT putting these utensils in the dishwasher. They really should be hand-washed with hot water and some dish detergent. Let them dry, and try to put some food-grade mineral oil on them to prevent drying out. We use Bayes Food Grade Mineral Oil available here on Amazon. A little bit of it goes a long ways. Highly recommended. Now, this particular ladle may not be huge, but it will dip out a good amount as necessary. I have already used it several times and am glad I finally got rid of that black plastic ladle I had been using for too many years.

I liked the way this spoon was and if it wasn't for me accidentally dropping it then it would have worked well for is intention. I reduced is star rating because of the fragility of it. From countertop to floor it dropped and broke into 2 pieces.

Because I've recently learned about the toxins in recycled black plastic utensils, I have eliminated all my nylon, silicone and plastic utensils and replaced them with stainless steel and wood. I selected these FAAY utensils because they are made of solid pieces of beautiful teak and have ergonomic handles and they do not have varnish or dyes or synthetic treatment on them. They are 100 percent natural. These are perfectly crafted with no seams or splicing or rough edges. Because they are teak, they will resist moisture and will be part of my kitchenwares for the rest of my life. A wonderful investment.

Quick delivery. We are trying to eliminate all plastic cooking utensils and this ladle is the perfect one to fill the void. This "Teak" ladle is well made and has a large (3oz) cup and heavy handle. Good price and remember humans have been wood for ladle's for thousands of years (no plastic).

Gorgeous wood, lovely feel in the hand, this ladle also happens to scoop up a mass of stew for the bowl. This was a great purchase.
