Ballistic Hard Core Series Case for iPhone 5/5S - Retail Packaging - Black

Great case for about the best device protection from knocks, drops and bumps I have ever had. This is my second one - the belt clip broke on my first one - but it lasted a long time itself. I would buy it again.

Low quality and doesn't protect from much of anything. Not waterproof, not water resistant, not a very good screen protector, not at all dust resistant, hard to get on and off, and kickstand is flimsy. Seems to do well against drops

I must start saying that the product is amazing, safe and clever as I can still use my touch id and with many other cover I don't! The reason Im giving a four star is based on the poor construction in the clip that as Ive read in past forums and as it happened got broke within a week of use, also I find kinda annoying the fact that the screen has a separation and things go inside as dirt or a simple ant so I have to dismantle the whole thing to do cleaning. Dont get me wrog, as far as security which is why I use this type of covers, it serves pretty well the purpose and believe me that Ive test it from a second story office and the phone works fine and cover its not even scratched!

My teenage son had this case for his iPhone 4. While a bit bulky, it is indestructible and provided excellent protection for his phone. When he recently upgraded to an iPhone 5S, there was no question that he wanted to get this case. He has been quite happy with it.

I ordered this to replace an old Ballistic Hard Core because it didn't allow me to use the fingerprint sensor on my 5s. It works great and I really love Ballistic cases. They are so much better than Otterbox. Great protection and not near as bulky as Otterbox. The only negative I have on this new one is the screen protector is tinted blue. My old one was clear. Now I have to turn my brightness up all the way. But otherwise it's perfect.Update: Several people have complained about the screen protector not fitting snug which makes it's hard to touch and type. I've used Otterbox and Ballistic cases and there is a slight "gap" on both brands between the protector and the iPhone screen. However, for me it's not enough to make it difficult to press. Maybe it's because I also use a Halo Screen Protector film on my 5s. That might just give it a little extra thickness to help accommodate for the gap. I would suggest trying this if you are unhappy with the touch response.

This case is bad. Even though it is sturdy you have to press the screen cover to hard for a decent response and forget about the edges which are non-responsive unless you finger mash it like a horny teenager. Also acts like a dust magnet. Returned it and got an otterbox which was not as protective but has great response.

I was a VERY satisfied user of the Ballistic case for the Iphone 4S, so when I updated to the IPhone 5S I ordered the Ballistic case for it. I am disappointed in the 5S case. First aggravation is at the top of the screen, the screen saver is not flush with, or tight to the screen and requires a extreme firm push to activate the touch screen. The second aggravation also has to do with the screensaver, but at the bottom. There is a round opening over the function button. This is so the fingerprint option on the iPhone. Great for fingerprint, but is a dirt and dust magnet. All the crud goes up and lodges between the screen and the screensaver. Eventually, the bottom of the screen requires the same excessive pressure as the top.

If you are looking at this case, you need to know this case INCLUDES the holster that clips onto your belt (or whatever) and that the phone slides into. My Ballistic holster broke after about 5 years -- I ordered a new case and, because the description was not clear, I ordered a separate holster. The case arrived today and it INCLUDES the holster. I'll keep the separate holster as a spare.Now -- about this case. I am VERY pleased with it. I'm an EMT in rural Virginia volunteer rescue squad and my phone is essential because of the medical applications on it. The phone has never slipped out of the holster as it did from time to time with my old OtterBox holster. I've crawled under houses, into wrecked cars, and under brush piles to treat patients -- the phone has come through without a scratch.

case ordered is as good as description; very happy with it. It did take a while longer than expected to be delivered however. Would order from same supplier in future.
