Great mic for older sound system in a small church
It replaced a flat, multi direction mic that had a lot of feedback. Just know that this mic requires soldering wires. Just 3, but soldering nonetheless. Overall great buy and great price!

great mic
item as described, great size, works great with our Church sound system. Had looked at similar gooseneck mics at guitar center and even on amazon, and they were very pricey. this is very good for the price when I got it for $68 bucks. I see that the price has gone up a bit, so I am glad I was able to get it at a lower price and I am happy I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a new mic.

RF Interference Tale
I have two of these installed in my church, and have installed several at other churches. These are surprisingly good for the price point, and have been generally OK with the vocal performance of these mics. I recently came across a problem with them, but I am not going to completely indict the microphones for the issue. A couple of Sundays ago, during the service, some interference with someone on a CB radio was picked up. I got real busy at the sound console trying to isolate which channel was the culprit, and found either one of these mics at the pulpit and podium were the source. I have about six other condenser mics of various type placed in the church for piano, organ, ambience, lecturn, etc, and none of them, or input channels, were picking up the CB. I went back during the week, and spent some less frantic time trying to nail down what was going on, and found out the CM20 mics themselves are particularly sensitive to picking up RF and demodulating AM transmission, at least in the CB band. I was suspecting the long run of snake cable from front of church to mixing station ain’t helping, but that was not in play as far as I could figure out. I determined some crew which was doing lumbering work in nearby woods was the source, and guessed they likely have an illegal linear amplifier on their radio. Anyhow, I just thought I’d toss this issue out there, and it is a known issue in the audio world of radio transmission overpowering mic channels. I am going to try some in-line RFI filters as well on these channels, (or maybe some ferrite cores) Eventually the lumber crew will leave, and hopefully so will their overpowered CB radio.

Works as good as the $200 one
Had 3 gooseneck mics for Mass. The $200+ kind. Took a risk and bought the "cheap" brand. Glad I did. Works just as good. Feels heavy/solid.

Great sounding Microphone
I Have installed these on a half dozen podiums. It's as good of a gooseneck mic as any out there! The price is great too!

Pops like the phantom power is dropping out
I originally bought the 20" model and subsequently bought the 15" model of this microphone in 2017. The sound quality is good to excellent but from the very beginning I have issues with popping sounds as if the phantom power was dropping out. I originally attributed the pops to poor wiring as we were using them in a rented location. Recently we moved into a new church building with all new wiring and as soon as I started to use them the same problem cropped up. I have since purchased the Shure CVG-12. It is $114 but but it has produced no pops using the same equipment and lines. I have since purchased a 2nd one and used both this last week and neither mic produced any pops even though I was using all the same equipment as with the Samson's.

Hervorragendes Elektretmikrofon

Veramente soddisfatto.
