Good value if you're not sure if the concertina is for you or not
I rated this four stars, because for its value and what I think this instrument should be used for merits four stars. The two scenarios I believe this instrument should be purchased are: if you aren't sure that you'll like playing the concertina and want to try it out, or if you just want something to squeeze and goof around with your friends. For those purposes only, it does what it needs to do.When I bought this, I started learning and quickly realized that in order to progress further in skill, I would need to upgrade to a better crafted instrument. The buttons have a pretty long push to them, so it's difficult to play faster paced songs. Some of the buttons stuck and would drone as you played. The notes aren't exactly fine tuned, and you'll see that they can be a bit off if you're trying to play along with songs on youtube.I bought this, played it for a week and decided I liked playing the concertina enough to upgrade to a brand a few hundred dollars more expensive. The concertina is not exactly a cheap instrument, so I am thankful that low end models like this exist to help you decide if that investment will be worth it. For me, it was. So if you're not sure about if you'll enjoy it or not, purchase this, but know that you'll likely be upgrading to a decently more expensive beginner concertina in the very near future.

Great introductory concertina for C, G and Em
This concertina performs well, and has a good tone. The buttons take a little extra distance to depress but it doesn't affect the playing too greatly. The only consideration I would give before buying this is that it only has so many notes. This is not a chromatic instrument, it's good for use, mainly, in the dominant keys of C, G and Em. The only notes available are A B C D E F F# G within a relatively 3 octave range with certain notes having 4 octaves. It's a great buy for introductory concertina and the value slightly exceeds the price, I would recommend it, keeping in mind that it only has one accidental (F# 3 8va).

Beginner's Concertina
BEGINNERS READ THIS:I've been wanting a concertina for years and finally sprung for this one because it was so cheap. I definitely do not regret this purchase. After a month of playing (3-4 times a week for 1-2 hours at a time), a few buttons are beginning to get stuck open, the bellows have somehow sprung a leak (despite my best efforts to be gentle with this instrument), and the reeds on the right side have a somewhat rattle-y sound. You'll have to make generous use of your air button as well, since a fair amount of force is required to get sound out of some notes. All that being said, if you're strapped for cash then THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST CONCERTINA! If you don't know whether you'll take to it or not, pick up one of these! Even if it's not up your alley, you can learn to play "Drunken Sailor" in the span of an afternoon and your friends and family will love it. I'm saving up for a decent 30 button as we speak because I'm enthralled with this instrument, but I will have fond memories of huffing and puffing away on this dinky little chinese-mass-produced thing. Perhaps if you are exceptionally careful with storage and maintenance it will last you for several years.

TOTAL GARGBAGE!!!
Abselute GARBAGE. Within 24 hours of receiving my concertina I had one button than all of a sudden stopped producing it's note, and both of the CHEAP fake leather straps broke on either end. Then after a few more days, almost every single button in the C row started sticking, making its impose to play. If your looking for a cheap entry level squeeze box like it's was, save your money and get a little bit nicer one. Don't waste it on this piece of crap

Ammoon Concertina 20 button/40 Reed Anglo
Nice sound, buttons work freely, he was happy with the gift. The travel bag is a light weight nylon that offers no protection from anything but dust. If anything hit it in the bag or if a liquid spilled on the bag it'd ruin the instrument. I tried to find a hard case for the concertina as some of the others came with a real decent lined hard case but can not find any hard case on Amazon or anywhere else unless purchasing another brand of instrument. I'd previously bought the Mirage with the hard case but some of the buttons did not work properly. This Ammoon cost a bit more money and works well but lacks a decent case. I ordered the dark blue but it seems they sent a teal (lighter blue) but he said that the color didn't matter that much to him. He is a beginner at but picked it up real fast (within a week) and the thing sounds pretty darn good!

Not bad
I was a bit reluctant to take the plunge and get a concertina because every one seemed so expensive, especially considering that I had never touched one before and that with stringed instruments it's fairly easy to come across decent, inexpensive ones. After practicing with this one for a few weeks I think it seems OK. Within a few minutes of opening the box I was playing songs, slowly but steadily, using tableture from a beginner's concertina book. The bellows seemed very stiff - I had expected it to be easier to open and close - but have been getting better, or I'm getting used to it. The straps are long (I'm a grown man) but it was an easy matter to punch new holes to make them tighter.Having never played before, I'm wondering now if I've limited myself somewhat with the number of notes, although maybe with experience I will see that as less of a problem. I'm happy with it for now and will continue to learn on it, probably upgrade at some point.
