Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Hornet vs Covenant Vampire

This set is one of my favorite Mega Bloks Halo sets not because of the lights and sounds feature, but because of all of the stuff you get with it. You get the Hornet for the UNSC & 3 very nice figures for your UNC army + you get the Covenant Vampire & 3 nice figures for your Covenant army! This set is really great army building set.Pros- The Hornet is fun build and looks great- all 6 figures are very nice- Nice weapons included- The Vampire is a very sturdy build and looks great- Lights and Sounds feature works well with this setCons- The Vampire is not the most enjoyable build (it turns out sturdy and that is the main thing, but the build of the Vampire feels tedious at times)- Some people over price this set (Try to get it under $55)Bottom line- This set is great! If you are a Halo Mega Bloks fan and to build up your armies than this is a must have set!

My 9-year-old son got this for Christmas. Lots of pieces! I picked it based on the two air vehicles it would make -- one is somewhat similar to a V-22 Osprey.The quality of Mega Bloks pieces has improved from years past -- the pieces in this kit went together nicely and stayed together. The instructions are graphic only, and the printed colors make it sometimes difficult to figure out which color they're calling for (e.g. black v. dark grey). But each building step is a small one, so it's easy to follow along without losing your place or becoming confused about the order of multiple pieces in a single step.The finished airships are solid, surprisingly heavy (well, maybe not, considering how many pieces went into each one!), and sized to be compatible with other HALO figures and whatnot. They don't sport many moving parts, especially when compared against similar LEGO kits. They do feel like they'll stay together even if the airships are played with.

It is pure pleasure to watch our 9 yr old son working with his dad on these kits. Sometimes the kits are incomplete but, we just use left over pieces from past purchases to complete the kit. Don't buy these kits unless you are ready to spend hours sorting and reading picture instructions.

This was Christmas present for my grandson and the package came as expected. It was new, undamaged in any way and was just what he wanted. The timing was also excellent. I think I received it within the week I ordered it. Thank you! No regrets here or 2nd. thoughts.

Grandson s Birthday request and he was thrilled with it. what more could ask for :) was fun product to assemble

I bought this for my son for Christmas. When he opened it up and started to put it together he found one of the critical parts missing. In the box was actually two of the same parts. A part for the right side and another part for the right side but he needed a part for the left side and it wasn't there. I can't explain it any better than that.One of the Halo characters he put together had two left arms. He could not bend the right arm up at the elbow because it went backwards.Ordering the missing part for one of the crafts was easy on the Mega Bloks website however I could not order the missing right arm for the Halo character because there was no part number for it. I ordered the missing left part for the craft and I got an automated confirmation email stating that my order had been approved. We waited 3 weeks and the part never came. I finally had to call Mega Bloks. When I called I had to leave a message with my complaint and order number. The next day I received an email of apology and that my order had been shipped that day. Two days later we got the part and my son was able to put his craft together.I would buy Mega Bloks brand toys again. My sons have many and this is the first time this has ever happened.

Set was well made and my son likes it, but it was missing 8-10 key pieces to finish building the Hornet. We had to borrow pieces from other sets to finish building it.

Bought this for my 8 yr old. He received an award at school and asked for this. So I purchased it for him. He and I put these together. Took us a few hours. It was really great fun we had. He loves his Hornet and Vampire, and I loved spending time with him building them.

i recently built this set, and was very impressed. it is a great value as you get 2 vehicles and 6 figures fora reasonable price. The instructions were easy to follow, and building it was a blast. The lights and sounds feature is a nifty addition.The only issue I had was a broken arm on one figure, but as usual Mega Brands customer service was exceptional, and a repalcement was on its way within days!

Im ganzen wieder ein sehr schönes Set von Halo Mega Bloks, aber was ich dieses mal leider zu bemängeln habe ist die Bauanleitung.Bei dieser waren die Farben extrem schwer zu erkennen, obwohl ich schon bei Weißlicht gebaut habe. Kann ich nicht so ganz nachvollziehen, dieses Problem hatte ich bei noch keinem anderen Modell und ich habe schon wirklich viele Modelle aus der Halo Serie gebaut. Also am besten am Tag bauen, oder eben mit einem Licht was die Farben nicht noch zusätzlich verfälscht.Wenn das Set aber erstmal zusammengebaut ist, sind die Hornet und auch die Vampire wirklich schöne Modelle die sich durch ihre stabile Bauart bestimmt gut von Kindern bespielen lassen, bei mir kommen sie allerdings in die Vitrine, da ich Sammler bin. Achso, auch hier sind wieder Licht und Sound Effekte vorhanden, die noch zusätzlich spaß bringen.

The number of pieces causes the assembly difficult. However, that is part of the appeal of this type of project. My son has countless hours of fun playing with the Halo figures.

Ottimo materiale, ma avrei fatto prima a fare l'assemblaggio,se i componenti fossero stati divisi per progressione di montaggio...mi auguro ghe in futuro si possano dividere per sequenza.
